Sell fictive items to myself

Hell. I am still getting around this but I have just started my stealth. I have two other accounts on my friends information which they are in perfect condition (even received 5k payment without any limitations).

Now, In order to build some trust with ebay/paypal and to add some money on my paypal account I would like to sell something cheap but I only have expensive items for sale. So i taught i should list some fictive things 20-30 euro/listing and start buying them with my other accounts. Like this I will have a selling history, money on my stealth account (so can make few purchases before start listing real items for sale)

The only problem I am thinking is what IF paypal asks for SHIPPING document. It happened before but it was for a 3k euro item. The tracking number wouldnt be a problem considering is a cheap item and i used a cheap shipping method without tracking.

My opinion: very bad idea selling items to yourself.

eBay is not that dumb. They can spot a pattern in selling/buying and your accounts will be linked and... fried.

I would be more worried about linkage than tracking and stuff.

Sell stuff properly loosing some money (below cost) with free shipping and you will have your history and feedbacks.

I dont think they can link them

Seller A post ITEM 1 2 3 4
Buyer A buys Item 1 3
Buyer B biuys Item 2 4

Buyer accounts are real, with great history

ilcarletto has given you wise advice - seems like you want to go ahead anyhow. Best of luck - feel free to share your experience as you wish :thumb:

Youll be amazed at how complex and advanced the ebay bots are and just how good they are at sniffing just this type of buyer/seller behaviour. Theyre very adept at recognizing patterns - and no matter what you do youll create a pattern of activity that sooner or later will be seen and will get all involved accounts linked.

your want to build trust with 4 items sold to 2 buyers ?

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

Instead of risking multiple of your own accounts, buy something cheap from the store and sell it at a breakeven cost or a loss. Then ship the item to a real customer. You would be losing money on eBay fees selling to yourself so why not lose money selling a real item to a real customer instead?

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

This might be stupid BUT I will sell two high value items to myself and my plan is to trigger ebay's bells in order to get limited and get asked for documents. If I pass their verification, I will be able to start selling and if not I am glad I tried now because I will loose no money. After reading all the topics around here, I am certainly that at some time they will ask for documents, no doubt of that. I prefer they will do it now when I am in control of my money.

This is an old trick and it's called manipulation. eBay will be on to you very fast.

Not a good idea to do so.

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

All i want to do is to provide id and proof of address ASAP. From my other account that i use (friends or family account) after they ask for ids and proof of address you are off the hook. As far as I understand the biggest problem is ID verification because they can check the id (in some EU countries) so for my type of selling (high value items) if this will not pass i will abandon stealth accounts because IF its true and they can check the ID in a databese everything else is pointless and its just like a game where you sell a high value item and roll the dice to see if you get the money.

You can check websites online and buy things like SD card in bulk, then sell them at little profit to cover fees etc while building feedback and trust.

Just make sure they aren't phake, and are actually the capacity they say they are. Or you'll get a bunch of cases opened and negative feedback

A lot of the time they are duds or not genuine.

Things like the 99p / $1 store are a much better place to get items that you can sell for a small loss but in doing so build up a lot of feedback. Sometimes you can even turn a profit!

This somehow gets spotted and banned. Better not do that.

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

Yep but watching all the disperate topics around here I can see that every singe account sooner or later will get spotted. Start selling slow will never work for someone who is selling higher value items or it will work for a period of time and then you might loose a big chunk of money

JamesNorth101 10-09-2018 10:55 AM

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

I have accounts that have lasted many years.

If you want something long term then selling slow and building up works very very well

SaiJin 10-09-2018 10:55 AM

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

YOu need to keep in mind that not everyone here actually follows the guidelines in the ebay stealth. People generally like to cut corners.

I notice this because when I make my accounts I rarely have any problems whatsoever.

So account creation foundation, the quality of the docs or info provided are also very important.

It's not always the case. It really depends on how you do it.

I don't like selling anything below $5 so keep it at that or above that

JohnMathew2k 10-09-2018 11:09 AM

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

I am not planing to cut any corners but for EU accounts it seams that the ENDGAME its the same everytime, unless you sell low value items and under the radar. I just opened a new thread asking people if EU paypal has a ID database because I find it extremly important. No matter what you do, if you have the IDs and they check them I am pretty sure you are of the hook (unless u sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗/ virtual items or scam buyers)

SaiJin 10-09-2018 11:18 AM

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

Yep, you are right about that.

I'm not saying you will be cutting corners, just telling you that a lot of people do and they pay dearly for it eventually.

Re: Sell fictive items to myself

I agree, I have done everything by the book but I am trying to begin with the end in mind, THE DOCUMENTATION :). THat is the only problem i have now. I have a Phone with SIM for each account running 24/7, separate windows users, trying to do everything by the boook but the only thing I am afraid of is the documents :)
