Refunding from Ebay does that link the PayPal account

I have a stealth eBay and PayPal. The original PayPal used for the bay account was limited 4 years ago. since that time I have been using another PayPal with a different address and name to accept the payments.

I now need to pay eBay fees and since entropy has gone I am left with no choice but to pay via the other account.

Now some have said if I do that I link the accounts even if a one time payment is made.

But my question is I've been using the 2 accounts together now for 4 years and in that time I have made several refunds from the eBay account which obviously comes out of the PayPal.

Surely that creates some sort of link?

If so I am assuming it would also be safe to make the payments to eBay the other way?

If someone could clarify that would be great. I know there's no 100% in this game but if my thinking is right then I should be ok
