Thats not bad in my opinion, I think you can kick it up a little.

Limit is $25K. I add tracking next business day. All items delivered well before the estimated window eBay gives as well. Seller performance on 9 transactions at this point is above standard.

Well I'd like to list 1-2 game consoles or 2-3 high value lego sets ($350) a week. Either the consoles or the legos, not both.

Was told by someone that one of the reasons they are not allowing you to keep or spend ANY balance in PayPal was because people were buying gold bullion and such on eBay to launder money. This is coming from a high up at a bank that has had to deal with PayPal numerous times regarding issues.

Is it still asking for claim it?

Yes, ALL accounts now have this feature. My aged ones, and my newer ones. There is absolutely no way around it. They will not allow you to use PayPal to transfer funds for ANYTHING besides sending it directly to your bank account. You can't even use the funds to print shipping labels or pay eBay fees.

So far I have gotten around it by using Stamps.com and printing labels that way and uploading tracking on eBay, but I fear this is the beginning of the end.

My biggest fear is what will happen when someone files an item not as described dispute? There is no money in the PayPal account to hold or anything like that?

I wonder if we can have a prepaid card attached to the account for a customer refund, etc?

You can still make purchases with a card so i would think you could refund as well. Might have to tweak PP payment preferences.

I'd guess they'll try your backup payment method which usually goes through without a problem. eBay has been pulling fees directly from my bank account on a few accounts for years.

You haven't had any issues paying eBay fees with a bank account? Also, what if I paid for it with my credit card that is in my real name? I never really noticed that it offers a credit card/bank account option until recently because I always had it set up on autopay through PayPal.

Well hold on it is coming UNLESS you have a SSN attached to each of those.

I use either a business debit card or business bank account on our EIN eBay accounts and both work fine.

This will now be rolled out uniformly to ALL accounts - new and old on March 29th in the form of what they have now dubbed a 'cash account'.
They discuss it in the notice of ToS update coming into effect on that date.
Theres an ongoing thread about that in which I quoted some of that they say in this update that is coming.
Heres the link to that thread:
https://www.aspkin.com/forums/paypal...29-2019-a.html
Basically no way to avoid this any longer.

vigilantex69- When you called into Paypal to add your bank account did they ask for SSN or did they add it without much hassle?

Same i leave thousands in there and weekly drop 500-1k withdraws and keep at least 50% in there, so that they don't get in a tizzy, now on a few of these "collect" it accounts, it wants me to withdraw all 10k or whatever, i am still not doing that"

So as long, as you have a bank account attached, nothing is changing?

Re: ALL PayPal Accounts Now REQUIRE "Claim Money"

That is the part that is unclear.
Will you be able to maintain a pseudo balance that you just havnt withdrawn yet and can ONLY withdraw? or will they force you to withdraw ALL that money out once these 'cash accounts' come into play? Guess we have to wait to find out.
I myself am not going to chance it. I will be withdrawing everything out well in advance.

Re: ALL PayPal Accounts Now REQUIRE "Claim Money"

I don't know how it's going to play out in the future, but for accounts that currently have "claim it" they do not require you withdraw the entire balance at once. You can still choose to withdraw a portion of the balance that you can only access by withdrawing.

That's been my experience with that one particular aspect of all this.

Re: ALL PayPal Accounts Now REQUIRE "Claim Money"

Yes Ive seen that as well myself.
Im wondering If that will change with this 'cash account' feature.
