Hi guys,
quick question.
I would like to book some holidays for the next months and I was wondering what is your experience with AirBnb and stealth PayPal?
Have you had any issues or positive experiences?
Cheers

Be careful with AirBnb and read their Terms of Service. They do want you to link your social media accounts, google, etc and use the information from those profiles for their own use. It's best to have "throw away" accounts with little to no user info on them. Other apps are just as invasive, so again refer to the ToS if unsure.
From a privacy standpoint, these apps are a disaster.

It could be a possible linking factor later on, but no harm if all the info is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ anyway, right?

Cheers | Using a stealth Paypal? That may be an issue.
Why not use a credit card?

Why not use a credit card? | Yes you are right, credit card seems to be the safer choice.
I just currently had some funds in a paypal account thinking to spend, but it doesnt make sense.
Thanks everyone for the hints | |

Decided to bump this since I'm looking for the same. Has anyone tried using stealth PayPal to pay for Airbnb rental?

You can file an INR claim with PayPal for an Airbnb payment, but PayPal will almost certainly deny or close it, because Airbnb transactions are not covered under PayPal’s Purchase Protection.
But how's this relevant exactly?

I am just curious ,in the past masseurs, barber, shrink, plumber, wedding caterer accept Paypal and end up losing INR disputes .
The only ones which ended in seller favor are website designers, who have paperwork, email correspondence and website link to show it was delivered .

If so...I don't foresee an issue unless you decide to force a chargeback or your pp is identified as compromised.

" I would prefer using credit card for protection."
I think you misunderstand me. I have a stealth business PP account, and I have very few options to cash out. I'm looking for ways to maximize expenses.

how about buying gold or silver, large precious metal dealers like APMEX .
You can also sell it back to them.
Pretty much all the major precious metal dealers are selling on Ebay and Walmart.
Not sure how it verifies your Paypal account?

Pretty much all the major precious metal dealers are selling on Ebay and Walmart. | I tried to buy gold on Ebay, but the transaction was declined + they'll see your actual name and address for delivery.
I found this on apmex: "PayPal is only available for orders shipped to a valid U.S. address and for U.S. dollar (USD) transactions only."
So that's not an option either. The stealth PP account is in the UK, but I'm a nomad, mostly in European countries.
Edit: I checked around other bullion dealers who accept PP. All of them are strict with this. "JM Bullion goes to great lengths to ensure the security of your PayPal account. In order to reduce incidents of fraud, we will only ship to the “PayPal Verified Shipping Address” associated with your account. Customers whose shipping addresses have not been verified by PayPal will not be permitted to use this method of payment and will be required to select one of the other alternative payment options."
I had created another thread where a couple of users mentioned ebay and gold as well. There seem to be a lot of outdated info on this forum.

Some other sites exist for this kind of buying activity but takes searching.

tbh I don't see any other bad scenario either

Is there anyone here who's tried using stealth PP for airbnb? Like does Airbnb send PP details about the rentals and my personal name? Can this jeopardize my Airbnb account?
