180 day Hold - Letter to Paypal Legal Dept

After receiving a 180 day hold on funds on a banned paypal account, i was told by a rep the only hope of removing funds was to contact paypal legal department by sending a letter

Has anyone had success with this? If so, what did you write to them?

Or can anyone suggest another way of accessing the On Hold funds?

unfortunately it happened to me ! and paypal seized my $ 11,815 ! and three years have passed . i didn't get my money . my advice to you, contact paypal and talk to them on the phone , this way they become more solution-oriented !

Call them when and say what? They will just tell me to wait the 180 days or send a letter to the legal department. They said the legal dept cannot be contacted by phone, only letter

That doesn't sound right, they'll usually take your money if the suspension is severe like for illegal items.

Is that what happened?

You'll most likely need a letter from an attorney, which is what they meant by saying what they said

This is my suggestion.

Have a read through the UK PAYPAL section.

There are posts about what could work. You have the option of Court as well as la letter.

I’ll check back with you to see how far you got.

Taking paypal to the Small Claims Court following a Letter Before Action in the UK is simple.....so do it if you're legit.

PayPal is calling your bluff. They know you can't do squat if they have reason to suspect you are using a phake name, not in the UK, or doing something dodgy.

If you are legit, by all means involve the Financial Ombudsman, Citizens Advise, or even the Courts if you will.

This happened to me as well... it does say that I will be able to withdraw money within 180 days?
