Do I need to Link PAYPAL and eBay for International Sell

Hello,
I got suspended 2 months back. I have 100+ feedbacks with 100% positive. I used to sell Internationally. Not frequently..but sometimes. But the strange thing is that eBay has suspended when I tried to sell my new iPhone internationally. They gave me some excuses and suspended me!!!! Anyway I have opened a new A/C in eBay (with my real Name, address) and linked to my previous PayPal ID (although I have changed PayPal email ID). They suspended me after 8 days when I stars selling in USA, not internationally. What a screwed up situation.!!!!
Again I have opened new eBay ID (with my Friend's Name and Address). I got 40+ feedbacks from SELLERS (after 25 days).

Now I am planning to SELL again Internationally. Can I link the eBay (with my Friend's Name and Address) to my NEW PayPal ID (I have opened a New PayPal with My real Name, address, Bank a/c---And I am verified) or My Old PayPal (changing different email ID)???

PLEASE Help me OUT. PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ:confused:

Welcome to the forums debup, it's best not to use Paypal at all. EBay and Paypal are working closer together and linking accounts simply when you accept funds from eBay auctions, pay seller fees, and other methods. If you use your old account you could be linked to your suspended eBay account and suspended again. If you use your new account, if it has your correct information on it, is this information the same as your old Paypal account? If so it's not a good idea to use it.

Anyway, it's best not to use Paypal at all. You can setup a merchant account, use Google Checkout or other payment processors without concern of linking. Paypal is only an option if it's a new account, never used with another eBay account. But then again if you're unable to become verified and or confirmed by lack of valid information you're stuck again. It's best to use another payment processor though.

Yah..my New PP a/c have same information (Name and Address) as my previous Paypal.
But the thing is that-you have to link eBay and PayPal for international selling!!! Do they allow to sell Internationally with out PayPal?? or using BidPay/google checkout?? I doubt...

AndreasF 10-23-2007 09:10 AM

debup

it depends on from where you are selling from.
e.g. if you are selling from Asia you will have to link your pp to eb but can chose to accept payments paid to another merchant accounts later on.
No google checkout..

Cheers

It also depends on WHAT you are selling. If your selling high risk goods then ebay will put you on a seller limit and restrict your selling to the country you signed up in until you verify and link a paypal account.

imjustme 10-23-2007 11:14 PM

Outside the US, Canada and UK, eBay will ALWAYS require you to link your PayPal account, no exceptions. No matter what you sell. You can't even start selling without linking.

if i use new us ebay account to sell on us ebay but choose the location in another country, would ebay red flag me or suspend me?

also if i link a paypal account which isnt registered by an us person and address to an us ebay account, would ebay suspend me?

ebayhateluv 03-18-2008 08:18 AM

Hey guys:
I am certain I read this before, but I dont know if we ever came up with a solution?
Anyhow- this is for the USA...

While trying to list a simple 2pk of Montlanc ink pen refills, the error came up preventing the listing..

--What i did was REMOVE the shipping other than to the USA, and it went through fine... Heres the message from ebay:

Attention Seller:
In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts. When listing this item, the site you are listing on must match your site of registration and the item can only be shipped within the same country. Please go back and make the necessary changes.
To participate in global trade on eBay, please follow the steps below to verify your PayPal account. Once you have a verified PayPal account that is linked to your eBay account, you will be able to sell an item on any of eBay's sites worldwide.
1) To verify your PayPal account, click on your country of eBay registration below to understand how to complete that process.
2) If you already have a verified PayPal account, and are still receiving this message, you need to link it to your eBay account.

Killed by Ebay 04-23-2008 09:50 PM

how do you list on other ebay websites?

ebayhateluv 04-24-2008 12:12 AM

HI:
Kevin:Why would you want to link an unverified pp acct? It will be limited quickly...
I have heard that all folks in the uk are now required to accept pp.
KBEB:
You just choose the site within the Preferences, to list,, i.e. China, etc..

mantisinc 04-24-2008 10:41 AM

It told me this to, but it was crap. I was selling UK item in the UK.

I comes up with that error message, however what it means is you need to link a PP account to your ebay.

divine422 05-05-2008 10:03 AM

I know when i tried listing through Auctiva (i dont accept paypal) i got a error message and they told me i couldnt list international without accepting paypal. However when i listed directly on ebay i was able too.

International ebay listing?

Hi,

I have a US ebay account. I notice that the same item is selling for a higher price in ebay.com.au and ebay.co.uk

eBay requires a linked paypal to list internationally. Right now, my ebay account does not have a linked paypal. I just accept paypal paypal, but do not link them through the "link" button. I have been using this ebay and paypal account for about 6 months.

my current paypal is linked to a suspended ebay account. I would like to link it to my ebay account to sell internationally.

May I ask if this will get my ebay account suspended?

Thanks.

aspkin 07-20-2008 03:02 PM

100% Yes it will.

imjustme 08-01-2008 03:18 AM

selling on specific eBay sites?

I'm trying to figure out a way to list items so that they show in the search results on eBay Italy (eBay Italia - Aste online e shopping a prezzo fisso) or eBay Spain (eBay.es: Comprar y Vender ArtÃ*culos Nuevos o Segunda Mano. Subastas) when a buyer searches for them. Do you actually need to have an account in these countries for them to show up? Or is there another way?

imjustme 08-01-2008 12:50 PM

found it. you need to go to the country's ebay website, login there and sell locally there.

Exeneva 08-16-2008 12:54 AM

Why not just sign up for Paypal on that email address for the linking but then use merchant account to receive payment?

x2ruff4u 09-03-2008 01:55 AM

You will need to have a PayPal account that has been "Verified". ????

How do you guys pass this

n order to maintain a safe trading environment, eBay may limit activity on an account until we obtain additional verification.

To verify your account, we require you to take a few steps:

1) You will need to have a PayPal account that has been "Verified".
2) Once you have a PayPal account that is "Verified", please link your verified PayPal account to your eBay account.

If you already have a “Verified” PayPal account, and are still receiving this message, you need to link it to your eBay account. Once you have a verified PayPal account that is linked to your eBay account, you will be able to resume your activity on eBay. For instructions on how to become PayPal Verified or how to link your PayPal account to your eBay account,

It seems to pop up after a bit on some of my account or after 2 listings. The only way I know is to attatch a pp that verified. What happens to the ebay account that is attatched to the pp? Does it get banned with it?

ebayhateluv 09-03-2008 07:23 AM

Hi:
What they want is a confirmed/verified Paypal acct.
Which of course-is the Paypal acct that has the expanded use , via credit card,
and the confirmed bank acct.
--YES-once the ebay acct is banned, paypal goes down and vice versa.
