Am I using the right routing number???(Wells Fargo)

So I have two routing numbers available to use with Wells Fargo

Direct deposits, electronic payments
Wire transfers - domestic


I used the "Direct deposits, electronic payments) for my PayPal transfer and it failed. Mind you, It was a newly created checking account. Thoughts? Did I use the wrong routing number?

The Bank account also says confirmed.

Something other than the routing number was the issue.

You can probably use either one but I've always used the one you used, and I've never had any problems linking WF accounts to Paypal.

what is the routing number assigned to your checking account?
thats the one you should be using?
do you have the checkbook,look at the bottom of the check
