Default Not as described claim filed by buyer but item hasnt been delivered yet

A buyer just filed a not as described claim against me when the item hasn't even been delivered yet.. so what do I do now?? the tracking number is posted on paypal but this is a not as described claim so I doubt that helps... please help me out...

When did the buyer say they got the package? Who did you ship with? If USPS sometimes they are slow to update you know...

no trust me I used Canadapost shipped to US, I shipped it like 3 days ago theres no way..

Reply in the dispute that the package has not even been delivered yet and the buyer is pulling a scam. Then email ebay and paypal this several times complaining.

Double check that the item is still in transit. Get the name of the staff member for your records. (if the answer is not delivered then these are the next steps):

Contact the buyer and ask what has happened. DON'T tell the buyer you know it is not delivered. Get their story: now if they turn around & say 'OOPS, I am a dummy', then get them to withdraw this. Be polite & concerned.

Contact paypal by phone & ask for a supervisor. Advise them that you have contacted the buyer and:

(any of these)
buyer made an error & will withdraw.

item still in post & not yet delivered as confirmed by canadapost

what do paypal suggest 'as I am very anxious to resolve this'

well the buyer is trying to scam me, hes not trying to cooperate.. and im using a stealth account, so I dont want really want to draw paypals attention to my account.. If I call them will everything be okay still?

How do you know this,oj? Because of that murder (oops).... have you spoken to the buyer or is this based on your feelings? If you have had contact & you think this is a scam, then the help is different. What are the facts? What is the value of this item

As philly said, you can contact paypal. You need all your info, password, secret questions:

wow you guys are great thanks for helping out I called and they couldn't do anything obviously but when she was telling me that if the item is not in his posession I could escalate to a claim, and he will not have the item to refund me.. so I did escalate to a claim, and all of a sudden the claim was automatically closed! so thanks agaion

OJ, you might also want to try to get the delivery company to cancel the shipment and return the item back to you to teach the scammer a lesson.

I called them they wont do that.. they said once the package is sent it becomes a property of the receiver... lol this world is so funny with all these ****ed up laws and regulations.. how does that make sense logically?

It doesnt .. same way that if the buyer is not satisfied with the purchase they do not have to return the item , paypal gives them their money back anyway and they keep the item , no matter what you say. That is a risk we all must take with our dear friends at Paypal
