Paypal Merchant rental services? Do they exist?
Hello
So abit of my backstory.
I am selling virtual in-game goods. We linked a paypal account which we turned into a merchant account to our shopify store in April and it was fine for 2 months until we got hit with DCMA's on facebook/instagram/shopify. The Paypal account is now permanantly suspended with around 10k USD locked on there.
Since then, we have bought/created new paypal accounts under VPS-conditions and had payments coming thru via e-mail payments. This was working fine until today 3 out of 4 accounts were permanentely limited with this message
"
After a review, we decided to permanently limit your account as we found potential risk associated with it. You’ll not be able to use PayPal to send and receive payments or shop online.
If you have funds in your PayPal balance, we’ll hold the amount for up to 180 days. After that period, we’ll email you with information on how to access your funds."
There was no link between the account and our site. We give the customers the paypal e-mail via a chatbot after they make the order.
If someone can shed some light on why this happened and how that would be helpful. But i think the only solution to my problem If i want to keep accepting paypal payments is to rent accounts.
I have noticed a competitor site setup they payment processing with a merchant account (so the customer completes the payment on the website) and the email address was im2pay@outlook.com - any idea what this is?
Im guessing we have to use some sort of cloaking so paypal thinks we are selling some different goods?
If anyone has any information or ways to solve my solution other than to remove PayPal from the face of this earth that would be helpful! |
