Hello, I saw somewhere that when adding a bank account, paypal cannot/doesn't see the name under which the bank account is opened, is that true or did I read something wrong? As I need to add a bank account but I had ebay accounts which are now suspended with the same name as on the bank account, thanks.

That's correct, they cannot see the name on the bank account unless you allow a transaction from your bank account into your PayPal account.
So summarising; they cannot see the name on your bank account if you add or withdraw funds to your bank account.
But they can see it if you allow payments to flow from your bank account to PayPal.
