PayPal Perma Limited. 48k Gone at 175 days

PayPal intentionally wants to take your money.
I had 2 PayPal. 1 already permanent limited due to Potential Risk. Can withdraw everything after 180 days. Made another PayPal. A lot of sales like the last one.

PayPal put a rolling reserve for 30% of revenue + 10K and can only take out after 2 months. So my 30% is basically locked and cannot withdraw. Got Permanently limited due to Potential Risk-like previous one. After 170 days, I logged in, there was another alert that my products violate their AUP. My account was double flagged for both potential risks & after 170 days for AUP. 5 days later, they took the money away.

It is safe to assume that with any permanent ban, your money can be taken by PayPal if they want to by applying AUP from thin air.

This is gut wrenching to see OP - accusation for AUP violation...hard fight to get the funds because right now, you're not automatically getting the funds back

Maybe your activity caused damages to PP? Like IP infringement against superhot vendor, or something like that... so they were charged and compensated their losses with your money.

P.S. I'd never use a PP that got a rolling reserve - that means account is overheated and should cool off. And stealth is for that purpose - spread sale across 20 accs not to overheat them.

Sales can add up to 100k/month with e-commerce. Spreading across 20 accounts will be a lot of mess.

Why use PayPal in that case? At least use an intermediary like Paddle which takes PayPal on your behalf.

Taking PayPal in your case is way too risky.

Are you accepting Bitcoin and Credit Card as well?

get you own merchant account to accept credit card, but it sounds like what you sell is troublesome.
good luck !

Lawyer up, OP.

This is a very shady thing that PayPal does.

Always an option - unless the product really was "super-shady"

The first account was able to process a million. I already did 5-time verifications on first PayPal and second PayPal. The business was approved by PayPal with the hardest verification like asking buyers if they are happy with the product. Unless you had 10 buyers who PayPal sent a survey and all replied back how satisfied they are, your fund will be on hold forever and Perma Limited in 1 month. I passed that as well. Verification like id, suppliers invoice, business info, proof of delivery/transactions, etc.. are the easy parts.

Surprised there is not a class-action lawsuit against them for theft.

Its outrageous what these companies get away with.

Then again, they don't worry about a class action because who wants to actually file one asides from lawyers?

I wonder if these accounts were real? If so, you should contact your lawyer.

Re: PayPal Perma Limited. 48k Gone at 175 days

Paypal locked 100% of my the money that I had on my account(160k USD) and I am now also 175ish days in. They seem to have transferred all the money off. Does this mean they are literally trying to steal every single penny off my account? I mean I would ask Paypal themselves, but they no longer have an operational phone number since Covid and can only be contacted through the message center, I have no idea how long I have to wait for a response and if it will come at all. Now I was sued at some point for copyright infringement but not of all of the money is even derived from that product. I was selling several digital products on my website. Not to mention, certainly this doesn't give them a credible reason to just take my money? Will Paypal actually have the audacity to just try to steal everything? Certainly they can't be this insane right?

Outside of a few posts on this website I haven't seen anyone else talk about a similar situation. If I don't get a reasonable response(+ my money) from Paypal I will sue them, although I honestly haven't a clue what sort of outcome to expect.

I was planning on sending you a PM but apparently I can't as a new member. I do agree with you that it could be helpful to stay in touch so we can exchange info as the situation progresses because I am absolutely suing them. They can't just up and take all of the money that was on my account, even if some sort of obscure rule was violated. They told me for years that everything is fine, then they close their local office in my country and suddenly things are "not fine" and they take 160k that I've already declared as profits and paid taxes over. It's criminal is what it is.

Oh man - 160k...really rough to hear...any reason why that amount was allowed to build up so much in PP? If you're declaring profits and taxes...you need to seek business lawyer for what the amount is worth...
