Unable to add bank or send money
 

Hi,

USA PayPal

I am trying to add a Capital One bank to my PP but keep getting prompted to verify using phone number.

Here's the thing, the phone number on my account doesn't show up as a valid option, so essentially I am locked. When I try to add that same number, it says that the number cannot be used.

PayPal support says to wait 48 hours and try again. I did that, with same issue.

Now all my withdrawals attempts are blocked. I try sending a payment and it is blocked.

When I call PayPal, they say they need a security check. How can I bypass? Should I wait a week or two?

This is a USA business PP account.

you allow it a week , then try again and if it does not work you call in and ask to remove security block

Enable 2 factor authentication on the account on the security settings

Add your new number there. Wait 24 hours go back into the pp, go to phone numbers make sure that the only number there is the new one your using. If it isn't make it primary and remove the old one

Give it another 48 hours to be safe and try again.

Usually does the trick for me

Thanks, will do. I'll likely wait a week as I've made a series of changes.

Removing the security block usually requires answering SSN questions, which I do not have.

I'll wait a week.

has the bank account been linked to another Paypal account?

Just leave it for 72 hour not 48 and it should be resolved

Is paypal still worth it? I heard that they were not as good as they used to be.

all depends what you need it for - still used by many ppl

That's a broad question... eBay doesn't use them anymore but other websites do and they can work for sure.

Just depends what you need it for and if they fit your business model.
