PayPal confiscated funds
 

Has anybody had any experience with PayPal confiscating your funds from sales made from eBay or any similar platform? And if so, is there anything that can be done to reverse or appeal it?

The money is gone. Forget about it and move on.

Paypal does seize fund from items sold on Ebay,or any website using Paypal.
Read its AUP list.
Sometimes it is not Paypal but DEA,FBI ,IRS or police or court

Yes. Got ip infringement claim for $30 item and they froze the account and eventually took all funds as instructed by the court

Lol give it up buddy, I gave up awhile ago :/ Paypal stole 3.5k from me doing the same AUP.

Why does it matter if it was two years ago or two days ago. I didn't know there was an expiration in which you can get your money back from a AUP claim. One would assume if you can get your money back in the first month of them taking it by proving yourself, than it would be safe to say you should be able to do so if 2 years have passed.

For the record I have about $40k stolen from me across a few accounts and I haven't even bothered to try to get that money back "YET". (Because it is still mines!) I've been busy doing business on my active accounts. And yes it has been over multiple years for some of those accounts. I plan on getting legal assistance when that time comes. Methods include BBB, CFPB, SEC, Fairshake, Demand Letters, Civil & Small Claim Court, etc. I will not be one to just shrug the shoulders and say oh well.

Are those accounts stealth?
Do they have bank accounts linked?

if Paypal did not release the fund after 180 days,it probably intend to keep it due to the cause of violation.
You can try to contact them,but you said it is spread across multiple STEALTH accounts,2 years ago and do you have a bank account already linked to those PaYPAL accounts?

I think there's a misunderstanding as I wasn't looking for assistance. It doesn't matter if there's a bank account linked or not. When you get a AUP claim PayPal completely drain the funds to cover "damages". Sometimes they even delete account or sell the account if it ends up having a negative balance. (Like a late charge-back). etc.

That's basically their way of stealing legally from you...

They've done this 15 years ago and they'll keep coming up with new excuses.

The reason I asked if your stealth accounts have a bank account linked is that if you do get the money back,you want to transfer it to your bank account,
are your accounts still active or suspended?

So basically my take on it is they haven't stole anything. I just haven't fought for it back yet because AUP claims are lengthier and usually requires legal action. Since my AUP chargebacks are on stealth accounts, I'm in no rush and I'll just wait until I have few more AUP chargebacks on other accounts then I'll seek out the proper legal assistance all at once oppose to one at a time. What I learned from the success stories of others is things are negotiable. Maybe we end up settling for half the money back which is still better than none. We'll see when we cross those bridges!

AUP chargebacks,
chargebacks come from buyer credit card ,the issuer is the bank ,if you lose,Paypal cannot do anything but let them have the money back,also PAYPAL will eat a chargeback fee which will then pass on to you.

Chargebacks are a headache indeed - virtually impossible to fight off without dealing directly with the cc provider

AUP is usually a death sentence.

So distribute your priorities wisely.

When there's a will, there's a way! I think I have about a good $5k to $8k at amazon stolen as well. I absolutely still consider this my money. If I don't get it back, you never know it might end up being a major write off on future invoices from that guy "Uncle Sam". You'd be surprised at some of the legal tweaks and work-arounds that are available when you have resources.

Thats crazyyy, cause literally SAME. Paypal took 3.4k from me under AUP and Amazon took 6.8k from me as I did not have invoices to backup that amount of stuff sold, they released the other 15k they we're holding though it took months of fighting with them.

Amazon all you have to do is open a case with AAA, it costs like 1k, but supposedly Amazon is suppose to reimburse you for it? Whole process takes over a year though. I missed my first case call after a year of waiting and then the following call, I was there, no one connected in the call and they marked me as a no show and closed the case smh. Someone said small claims court is an option as well.

Paypal: I actually got a call from this lawyer (Dan Law arbitrations) that paypal is ready to settle the case. I had original filled with fairshake which led me to the above ^. I gave up hope as never heard anything for months. I'm unsure what to do though as its a stealth. Let alone one that I can't get into the email as the recovery phone number I don't have access to :( Then on top of that they may need some sort of ID or whatever to settle since its a legal document? So I guess I am going to need to buy an ID with the stealth name on it, use that to contact email support to get back into my email, so I can sign the documents and get this case closed.
