Default Having buyers skip contacting seller and file claim

I hate when buyers skip contacting me to help them resolve an issue and go right to filing a claim. Its like a slap in the face and pisses me off cause of course im going to refund them. If I dont paypal or ebay will do it automatically anyway. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I always send something in the package saying if you have any problems please contact me before you leave any type of negative feedback or open a dispute.

This help but they are a lot of hot heads out there so this won't help 100%

I hate them too, but I hate the ones that try to keep the item and get a refund even more. I like using some variation of those buyers information to open a new stealth ebay and paypal account. Nothing will probably happen, but it still makes me feel good.

rofl that's so true. i had an account suspended and everyone and their mother tried to open disputes. the best ones tried to say they didnt receive... tracking = gg auto closed by ebay.

In my listings on ebay I would put:

1. Before your item is shipped, we need your phone number to contact you to make sure your the buyer and any fraud will be reported to state authorities. I never got one of those people that went straight to the claim. I would put scary terms on my listings. Maybe that helped alot. You might want to try it.
