ebay Dispute Closed, PayPay still holding funds
 

I recently had a buyer file an Item Not Received dispute against me on eBay.

It was nonsense, I had tracking showing it was delivered, USPS left the package with a neighbor or something and the Buyer finally ended up getting it.

When this dispute is filed with eBay my PayPal account shows -$500 for a Temporary Hold while eBay investigates this dispute.

After the buyer filed this dispute, the item shows up the next day so he CLOSES the dispute.

eBay sends me a message that says this dispute is now CLOSED and I don't need to do anything else, thanks for working things out with the buyer, etc.

Buyer Leaves me Positive Feedback.

OK, So I go to PayPal and the Temporary Hold on my account for the $500 I was paid for this item is STILL being Held. My account is NEGATIVE $500 now and has been for 4 days...

Why is paypal still holding these funds now that the dispute is CLOSED???

Will I EVER see these $$$ again??

I don't want to call paypal or eBay because I don't want them to suspend my account... You know how they are... Years ago I had a problem and had to start over. All it takes is ONE CALL or ONE LITTLE SLIP UP and Bang, your suspended again...

Breathe in, breathe out - bit of patience - if after 72 hours, no update then call in - should be no problem.

It happened to me on my real (now suspended) account a year ago. I just called in and let them look at the dispute. They apologized and lifted the hold within a few minutes. If you want wait for a few more days, then call them...

Sure you do. Nothing here is shady. A customer jumped the gun, filed a claim, got item, removed claim

Just tell them that....

PayPal Hold was Lifted after Phone Call
 

I called eBay, spoke with Customer Service and they said Hold would be lifted within 24 hours.

Then just to be sure I also called PayPal, spoke with their Customer Service, they also said Hold would be lifted within 24 hours.

Sure enough, within about 8 hours, Hold was lifted and my funds were restored.

The key is you must CALL eBay in order to get these holds lifted.
