New member, but large transaction...??

Hi, I have been selling small items on ebay and using paypal for a few weeks now. Today, however, I just found out I will not be able to go to the superbowl, which I have tickets for. I have two tickets that are very good, and will probably sell for around 13,000 on ebay.

My question is, will my paypal account be limited as soon as the buyer sends me the funds for this much? I have a fully verified premier paypal account....I'm basically just going to use this money to buy some other products on a website via paypal, so I won't need to withdraw it to my bank...will i have enough time to buy the goods without paypal limiting my account?

ya, well i am planning to use however much the tickets sell for to buy from a wholesale website that accepts paypal....will i have time once i recieve payment to buy the goods from my wholesale company or will paypal limit my account the second i recieve the funds from the buyer?

No. You will not have time. Paypal will put a hold on the funds.

Chances are PayPal wants proof that the people that bought the tickets really attended the SuperBowl with those tickets. :D

Hi. I don't know if this helps you but I had a 6 yr. old legit account with about 20 fb. all of which I was only a "buyer". For my first sale ever, I sold a totally LEGIT item for $9,000.00 on that account. I immediately transferred the $ to my bank acct.--No Problem!!!

Paypal themselves actually CALLED ME--to verify I had made the transfer--they seemed very nice and said it was a courtesy call--I had not yet ever found this forum so I thought nothing of the sale or the transfer of $.

Knowing what I know now, that call would have scared the sh!t out of me. But anyway, I was a brand new seller with low feedback and sold a high ticket item with no problem--hope it's reassuring for you and hope it works out.

Did they just want to verify the sales transaction like they did me?

It's crazy!!! Like I said though, I thought nothing of it when they called--I hadn't found this forum yet and was still in ignorance bliss!!!

Nothing happed though--just verified my sale which was over $8,000-as soon as the transfer hit my bank I withdrew the ENTIRE amount--no problem then or since!! Knock on wood!!

I don't see too many others talk about getting calls from paypal--even to their virtual phones--we must be the lucky few!!!
