imthatguy | 09-23-2010 02:10 AM | How does Paypal handle dispute buyerclaiming replica? just wondering if the buyer claimed ⊗⊗⊗⊗, how does paypal handle it? Does paypal side with buyer most of time? |
stillconfused | 09-23-2010 02:16 AM | Depends what it is. They need to supply proof that it's f*ke.
There is someone who bought Monster Beats Studio by Dr. Dre, and is trying to get a refund as they are f*ke but they can't get anyone to supply documentation to say that they are f*ke. |
Recherché | 09-23-2010 02:21 AM | Before knowing about stealth, I had several buyers complain about replica video games about 18 months ago. I was buying games from a certain U.K. company who drop shipped directly to my customers while not knowing some of those games were blatant rip-offs.
While my eBay account was eventually shut down, my Paypal is still up and running. It is connected still to my website, Pricegrabber, and others. Whenever a problem arose, I simply refund money. Some of those only after customers escalated claims. Never had a problem. Yet. |

What planet are you from?:boink: |
OfficialGenius | 09-29-2010 11:51 PM | This is very interesting and a mystery and I would like to know this too but I figured if they claim replica when you have a receipt for proof and accuse the buyer of being paranoid and wrong, then he/she won't win the dispute. ;) |
jeffweico | 09-30-2010 01:08 AM | If a buyer opens a PayPal dispute stating the item received is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗, you WILL have a problem. Typically, they will contact the seller and ask for distributor information, invoices, receipts, etc.
The buyer does not have to prove the item is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗, the SELLER has to prove that it is real. The exception to this would be a buyer with a history of such disputes. And even then, they sometimes will side with the buyer.
And here is the kicker: if they side with the buyer you will NOT receive the merchandise back. Here is section 10 of the PayPal user agreement: If you sell to a buyer and the buyer files a Significantly Not as Described (SNAD) Claim, you will generally be required to accept the item back and refund the buyer the full purchase price plus original shipping costs. You will not receive a refund on your PayPal fees. If you lose a SNAD Claim because the item you sold is counterfeit, you will be required to provide a full refund to the buyer and you will not receive the item back (it will be destroyed).
All the buyer has to do is "certify" that they destroyed the item.
Of course, at that point, your PayPal and eBay accounts are done for.
Where did anyone get the idea that the buyer has to PROVE the item is ⊗⊗⊗⊗??? |

"You were always honext when selling XXXX" - ha that's kind of a contradictory statement no?
Even if you tell people you are selling f*kes, you can get nailed - if not by them, then by others....
Welcome to the forum though - all the other posts are well-informed contributions. |
First Edition | 09-30-2010 03:30 PM | They almost always ask the buyer to return the item..... |

Welcome to the forum though - all the other posts are well-informed contributions. | yep,,,thats why i said it was my downfall,,,,plus i would prefer tbh than a customer gets something they are not entirely happy with so the lesson learned for me...........dont sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods, simplez:)
another thing why is it contradictory???
9 out of 10 people who buy on ebay will know to be aware of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods, thats why all my customers asked me,so i always stated the facts, cant see nothing contradictory about that....hmmmm |
