You are asking people to tell you its ok?

3k is a good sale, but just because it went through the first time, does not mean it will the second.

I have noticed that a new p a y p a l account will accept money the first few days, happens every time with me, in other words if my item is not high risk, pay pal does not hold the funds. The exact same item, 2 days later, i get an email saying they will hold payment until tracking or feedback is confirmed.

What everybody here is trying to tell you is

1) That it is not logical to risk such an high amount of money on PP.

So many problems with using p a y p a l.

If the buyer is buying outside of e b a y, why don't you try and use a differnt payment processor?

I changed the title. Why? because I felt that putting $8000 thro' a new account would kill the account.

Of course I did not have notification that Superman KnowEverything Mikey was on the forum.

MyBad. Must buy a new crystal ball with my paypal funds.

And you, think of the following
Accept you got given help.
Those that replied did so to try to get you to realize you might have dangers.
That this was said in a humorous way gave me no problem. I saw that as their intention to TRY TO HELP YOU.
You got lucky with $3000, the blue bird of bad luck is poised as I type to crap on you. Dont say you were not advised.
IF and WHEN you earn the street creds here, be sel-frighteous. But not before hand.

obviously i dont think im know everything mikey, thats why im asking questions.its just weird that i make a $3000 transaction and ask what the limit is, and everybody responds with im gonna kill the account or do $100 a month to start, when i just busted out 3k. i dont have time for $100 a week. not one person asked if i put my ssn on the account which i did.i cleared 2 of the 3 things they ask for to lift my limit. nobody on this forum asked if i cleared that. im just saying, a lot of people on this forum jump the gun when they dont know whats really going on. i was told that this forum was good, and i can learn alot from people on here. im not saying this about everybody, but if people are gonna respond, c'mon respond back with real stuff

Make the OP full of real info then. Dont come back now saying what you said & taking exception to the replies.

I am the first to say each & every case with paypal differs. But if I read a terse comment about what is an amount to put thro' a paypal account the answer will be based on the given info. That you excluded pertinent info saw the result. So who is at fault?

it was a new account. your right though. i didnt mention the 3k transaction. i just figured alot of people werent on the same page when they said start out with $50 or $100 week, when i busted out 3k on the first transaction.like i said earlier beans, i dont have time for the $100 a week. i did 3k and was wondering if 8k would go thru. im gonna go with jbluntz and try the 8k. if that goes thru, what is the next limit i can try. just so were all on the same page. first, 3k went thru. now im gonna try 8k, if that goes can i try 15k.

I sent a pm to you. Much of this is going to depend on how you are perceived by paypal.

If the transactions are off-ebay, it's a different approach. Read my pm & we can go from there
