Routing # Question Paypal & Ebay

I understand both Paypal & Ebay can only see routing # & account #...not name, address, etc.

Here is the question: Have an old paypal account that has been verified using my checking account # & routing #. No problems w/this account (knock-wood). Just opened a 2nd paypal account using the same bank as above with the same routing number BUT used a savings account #.

Is this 2nd paypal account safe & good-to-go? If yes...can I do the same thing w/Ebay....just use savings # for registration & seller's fees?

Re: the Paypal, as you have used a different account number, then yes, all should be fine.. it obviously see's it as a new account, because at the end of the day the "routing" / "sort code", is just a number that Bank's use to recognise a Branch.. therefore, umpteen hundreds of people can have the same "routing" / "sort code"

Personally i would try the same with Ebay, as they follow the same principles, if it works out, which it should, as i have several savings accounts registered with Ebay and Paypal all with the same Routing/Sort Code..

You need to understand that PayPal is more like a bank account than anything else. It is foolish to assume that you can create let alone maintain a U.S. bank account with a made up name.

Okay -- get that PP is like a bank account. I did not use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name...put it under my husband's name...same last name as mine obviously. Should be okay...yes/no?

I did this w/ the PP/ebay accounts having different address as mentioned above..no problems as far as linking or anything like that..now being limited thats inevitable

I know just always assume im limited once I open account, and "pretend" its limited already from the start...

That is a good approach. If others worked like that there would be fewer
repeated posts about being limited.

You will be ok even both with same address. My account was suspended 6 months ago and 3 months later I opened one up in my wife's name. Same address, also the same IP address. Even the same computer. I also started using a Paypal account in my brothers name, same computer, same IP, but different address of course for my brother. It seems Paypal just doesnt link other paypal accounts the way ebay links other ebay accounts.

Thank-you for sharing your experience...it is reassuring. I did use the same address, last name is the same, IP is the same and as mentioned same routing number for both PP accounts.

Just installed & tried Torpark (firefox); want to cover every base this time around.

So, why haven't I opened a new Ebay account yet?....I am really scared of listing on this new account. I do NOT want my old (and present) Ebay account suspended again. Will read through the forum here & double-check myself before I hit that "register" button.....again

That is a good idea. I did the same and went slowly. Being on the forum really
