I use CCNow.
but they dont accept echecks via Paypal.
CCNow also offers refunds to the buyers if item dont arrive. no matter if they paid with paypal or credit card.
all of my customers paid me via ccnow using paypal or credit card, as they wish.
I believe that perhaps you are a new seller thats why customers dont trust much in you.

You can put in your listing that you accept Paypal and credit cards via CCNow at no cost.
you can add a logo of CCNow to your listings to show more confidence to your potencial customers.

There is also this westernbid.net company that accepts paypal, money orders and checks for you. but their fees are INSANE.

you put their paypal email in your listings.

its a russian company in the USA so you will need to translate a bit of russian.
the customer service is very bad.
you can withdraw money with wire transfer or buy a card to withdraw from a ATM.

I just made three high priced sales on ebay and when I send my buyers invoices from ccnow they refuse to pay. One of them said they paid but I waited til the next so the payment would process but I got nothing from him either. All sales down the drain because they just wont pay. What do I do in a situation like this?

Is there any way to accept paypal and avoid the ssn requirement?

I currently have two feedbacks. One feedback is for selling and another for buying. I think my listings are professional. What do you mean by professional?
Like better choicing of words or templates.
I first send the letter EBHL has on the "How to steer buyers away from Paypal" thread. I also send the buyers a message through eBay giving them the link to the ccnow invoice. Then I finally send the ccnow invoice.

I constantly tell buyers: "When going through checkout you can use Paypal as a payment method"

What kind of letter do you send them?
In the letter you send buyers on how to pay. Is it just instructions or something else too?

I found that it was tough to get people to pay with CCnow until I had atleast 100 feedback. People rarely question it now. I had a terrible time before that. I had to always keep a spare Paypal account for those who refused CCnow.

Thanks Modee you a swell guy :)

Ok I'll start working on my feedback right away. BTW I start sendig buyers warnings on recieving UPI by the third day if they don't pay.

Good news one of the guys, who said he paid, he really did pay. It didn't show up in my account because Ccnow was processing the payment.

Now the other two people are completely saying: "I want to pay directly through Paypal or I don't want to complete the sale". Do I open a UPI dispute on the 7th day or do I send them a mutual agreement?

Also one of the buyers called Paypal and told them that I was accepting paypal payments from another payment processor. You think paypal will get the info to ebay and suspend me?

John14789 08-03-2008 10:49 PM

I will try the sweet con strategy right away. I don't think these deadbeat buyers will leave negative feedback. On my other account a buyer didn't pay so I opened a UPI dispute and I got the payment the second day but no negative feedback. But I think once they recieve the UPI dispute email from eBay they will either pay or they will act upon getting their way. Let's see what happens.
The only reason I don't tell eBay I use a merchant account is because the sale price will be lower if Paypal is not a payment option. But if there is a way for the price to be the same as when Paypal is used I will definitely go that route.

I agree. From my experience...just mutual suggest. Be understanding. Remember the buyer is always right even when they are wrong. A negative feedback is worth more then losing the sale. IMO.
