Can't you just say in the description that buyer can purchase this item but must wait for the check out instructions for faster service?

And you can also use Vendio.
It automatically can send email to those who are bidding on your items. You can edit those emails and put some information in it about payment methods, etc.

It is called Buyer Appreciation.

* Drive more sales through cross-promotion–Vendio will send customized "Thank You" e-mails to bidders on your behalf that also cross-sell your other items. You can also promote specials like combined shipping discounts and free gift wrapping.
* Reduce your unpaid bidder rate–Your automated e-mails will validate bidders' contact information, with "bounced" or undelivered e-mails identifying potential unpaid bidders. Your early contact also solidifies buyer relationships, making bidders more inclined to follow through with payment and positive feedback.
* Increase your communication feedback–eBay's new feedback system includes scores for your communication. Buyer Appreciation maximizes your chances for positive feedback by communicating with buyers at first contact.

is there a way to remove the automatic paypal check out option? I'd like buyers to wait for my auction but they never do. They always always pay me with paypal then say sorry they didnt read all the details.

Put something in your invoice (that is customize your invoice) and say "You have options to pay. I offer discounts for Non-PayPal payments". Or put in it "Save on shipping, check this link..." and put up a link saying if you pay by any means other then PayPal shipping will be discounted by (put amount here, not a percentage).

You may find people using it often.

I charge $10-$20 for shipping with my items. so this might not work if you have shipping prices between $3-$5
At the top of my listing in big letters i state that I offer free shipping on all my items and to email me to find out how. Almost all my buyers email me to find out how to save money. The ones that dont and pay with paypal are usually people with 0-3 feedback score

Default My stupid buyers just want to pay with Paypal

Ok, I've had 7 sales without being paid, one after another. I use Google checkout right now. Hum, three of them wrote to me saying they would only pay with Paypal, if I don't accept, they won't pay. The rest just ignored the invoice. I guess they backed out when seeing Google invoice because they don't want to disclose their credit number.

As a matter of fact, I don't offer Paypal on my listings at all . Just stupid buyers who are brainwashed by Paypal never read.

Should I make a headline on my listing clearly stating that
I DON'T ACCEPT PAYPAL. PLEASE DON'T BUY IF YOU INTEND TO PAY WITH PAYPAL.

I wonder if this will draw Ebay' s attention though. Any idea?

hi. I understand your problem but what you must understand is PayPal has become the standard and anything but it will be looked at as shady. As far as PayPal and eBay is concerned you must accept PayPal as a form of payment so I would suggest ccnow.

Putting in large text that you don't accept PayPal will probably get you suspended or reported by a bidder or competitor or who knows. ccnow is recommend and try to get as many as you can to pay, but if they will not budge then just accept paypal directly there is nothing else you can do.

Try CCNow, your buyers can still use Paypal to pay, but the money will reach your CCNow account instead.

I've been loooking at CCnow. The only thing is CCnow costs an arm and leg. Is this the only service that takes Paypal payment? Oh poor sellers.

Even though ccnow costs a bit more it is easier to convince buyers to pay using it. I don't think there are any cheaper alternatives that accept paypal for you without you having a paypal account.

It is really not that expensive considering you really don't have all the hassle of PayPal and the lack of professionalism that PayPal shows on a consistent basis. $5 out of every 100 doesn't bother me a bit. The only thing that bothers me is when you start doing currency exchanges and then we're talking about 10.5% of your total payment received.

Ok I just read this whole thread and I have two questions:

Now ebay requires all accounts with less than 100 feedback to accept paypal so I just make a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal account and then accept payments through ccnow.

Is there any better way to do this then the above listed since some idiot buyer will go ahead and pay to that ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal account?

If the buyer does pay and I refund him wouldnt and say about 10 people do the same thing as this buyer has done wont paypal limit the account since so many refunds are being issued?

I use CCNow.
but they dont accept echecks via Paypal.
CCNow also offers refunds to the buyers if item dont arrive. no matter if they paid with paypal or credit card.
all of my customers paid me via ccnow using paypal or credit card, as they wish.
I believe that perhaps you are a new seller thats why customers dont trust much in you.

You can put in your listing that you accept Paypal and credit cards via CCNow at no cost.
you can add a logo of CCNow to your listings to show more confidence to your potencial customers.

There is also this westernbid.net company that accepts paypal, money orders and checks for you. but their fees are INSANE.

you put their paypal email in your listings.

its a russian company in the USA so you will need to translate a bit of russian.
the customer service is very bad.
you can withdraw money with wire transfer or buy a card to withdraw from a ATM.

I just made three high priced sales on ebay and when I send my buyers invoices from ccnow they refuse to pay. One of them said they paid but I waited til the next so the payment would process but I got nothing from him either. All sales down the drain because they just wont pay. What do I do in a situation like this?

Is there any way to accept paypal and avoid the ssn requirement?

I currently have two feedbacks. One feedback is for selling and another for buying. I think my listings are professional. What do you mean by professional?
Like better choicing of words or templates.
I first send the letter EBHL has on the "How to steer buyers away from Paypal" thread. I also send the buyers a message through eBay giving them the link to the ccnow invoice. Then I finally send the ccnow invoice.

I constantly tell buyers: "When going through checkout you can use Paypal as a payment method"

What kind of letter do you send them?
In the letter you send buyers on how to pay. Is it just instructions or something else too?

I found that it was tough to get people to pay with CCnow until I had atleast 100 feedback. People rarely question it now. I had a terrible time before that. I had to always keep a spare Paypal account for those who refused CCnow.

Good news one of the guys, who said he paid, he really did pay. It didn't show up in my account because Ccnow was processing the payment.

Now the other two people are completely saying: "I want to pay directly through Paypal or I don't want to complete the sale". Do I open a UPI dispute on the 7th day or do I send them a mutual agreement?

Also one of the buyers called Paypal and told them that I was accepting paypal payments from another payment processor. You think paypal will get the info to ebay and suspend me?
