that is good to know, it happend to me right now too, deposits went back - now does this really reveal my real account info? if so, why paypal still confirm my bank and lift the limit? is this a concern only down the road?
also, my question is, when you buy using paypal, you should not let it take money out of your bank automatically, then what? how do you pay for the purchases you do in order to get feedbacks? using linked prepaid creditcard? but i remembered paypal let you confirm that any payments will be funded with the bank account (not the creditcard i think?) if not enough money in paypal. I use my own CC (vanilla visa) with a 20 buck balance. when buying stuff to build an account, Paypal takes the money right from the CC after you confirm it. (1.95 - 20 = $18.05 balance to spend)Do not mistake it for being added to your paypal account.
I usually never touch the Bank account when buying.

I realized the account was a goner when I could not log into the website and then called, then was given all the ya-da-ya-da about needing all kind of info.

Yes, $1.95 would be in your account once you confirm 4 digits code.
How much did they have if they took it away from all of their customers.

thanks very much for your help! my questions is, since i have both linked a vcc and a real bank account, would pp still automatically take funds from my vcc, but not from the bank? or do i need to set a preference somewhere/get to choose from which to take the money from when paying? or you add vcc first, do the buying, when you have a few feedbacks, you then add the bank account? maybe 20k is really too much? guess 2k would still do the trick for walmart 1? Quote:

ya they closed it but gave me 30 days to get/spend the money on it. it was at -$4 so didnt care. they told me it wasnt meant to be used for business purposes. think they were mad that i hadnt paid any fees for 8 months because i deposited over $1000 a month and i was just buy stuff with card and debit money out at cash register costing me nothing...

i had that experience too then, one bank closed my account because there were too much money and too many transactions, i guess when it goes beyond certain threshold they detect you as business. now i pay attention to split among banks, they then run smooth. Quote:

This is a pretty old news report, but I wonder if people are still doing this. Maybe this is why more companies are withdrawing the micro deposit. http://http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2008/05/man-allegedly-b/ |

yea, my post was under review - [during the time my post was under review and successful approved] paypal has retrieved back their two deposits from my BOA account.
i asked the other users about their experiences, they sorta reassured me that nothing (bad) shld happen.
so im crossing my fingers.
somehow i feel that paypal would know the real identity of the (BOA) account.
felt like i shld have gone with option no. 3 (phone call)

You could not be more wrong; BOA is the best bank for stealth. No one here has ever had any problems with BOA and mismatched deposits.
Are you speaking from personal experience or are you just talking out of you a*s?
