With hairy situations where oh paypal decides they want to freeze your account, to avoid any crap with them, it is wise to just close down and reopen an account.

Fargo can do it in a day's time.. Nothing can come through on the old account.

Can you do all that online, or do you have to go into a branch?

You may take a look at HSBC Online Saving or Basic Banking.
It's free, $1 minimum deposit, name mismatch works and you can open online.
You can see account and routing numbers immediately after get approval, usually immediately if they can confirm your identity.
You also need to print out a form, sign, and fax it back.

Link does not work, can you share the link again?

What happened with ING Direct? I opened a checking and saving back in June and so far they work fine. Although I haven't made an withdrawn from PayPal in over 2 weeks so if they instituted some policy recently I wouldn't know about it.

DoubleA 12-29-2012 06:20 PM

ING is not good. They flag you, and can risk your account from being shut down.

ING is a :nono:

GreenBean 12-29-2012 06:27 PM

ING is a variable.

Alaways depends on how the stealth account is created.

Preferable to use nick names match real name.

Check posts by aspkin with the method to use this bank.

Barclay's is no good too. STAY AWAY FROM BARCLAYS IF YOURE IN THE US!

yotano211 12-29-2012 06:40 PM

I use ING direct and still good for me. But I only have 4 accounts with them. I use my checking debit card for my backup everyday purchases.

I did 3 $500 transfers last few days that will hit on Monday. I might let ING cool down if they are really starting something. I really need that final paperwork from the Secretary of State for my LLC to go to US Bank. dammit hurry up stupid state.

Barclays online savings is good if you are using real info with a paypal transfer. They dont like transfear in other names. I have used them and talked for some time with their fraud department.

Anyone used Sovereign? Citi is going to be the newest company I confirm. I see that several people have vouched for Citi.

Has anyone used a virtual checking account? I'm not new to the game, but I'm new to virtual credit cards and virtual checking accounts.

rsot 12-30-2012 05:08 PM

Virtual checking accounts meaning the Virtual bank accounts? Those are used for verification and are NOT really meant for withdrawing...they rarely last long anyways because of issues during creation...

They are used.

Need to be carefully selected & then used.

Some of these types of accounts might be flagged by paypal.

Use passport as ID, but you should have an address for statement.

You can also sign up StateFarm Bank account online, but they require $25 deposit.
Account # is also available immediately. However, you may have to call them to setup initial security questions before you can register online banking.
Both StateFarm and HSBC can be verified instantly.

Statefarm does HARD credit report pulls to open a checking account. Ridiculous.

Although I was able to withdraw and verify mismatched named accounts with Chase, they did end up closing all of my accounts out of nowhere as they said I was too risky and they didn't give me an exact reason why. They said their automated system must of caught me. I had to wait 2 weeks after my last transaction closed to get all my money back.

I was withdrawing all of the money very quickly as soon as it hit the account so that may of triggered it. I also have fairly bad credit so that might of also been a factor.

If you're using chase or really any other bank I would recommend not have big sweeping transactions as this seems to be a huge red flag in combination with Paypal transactions for their fraud departments. Basically, keep everything moving slow and don't withdraw all of the money right away or move it quickly. Let it accumulate and then slowly filter it out to wherever you want.

We're any of your deposits over $5000?

GreenBean 05-02-2013 10:28 PM

@Kelly

stop posting all over the forum with the same question.
