Exclamation Unauthorized Claim from on eBay Sold Item

So this guy tries to get his money back through an Unauthorized Paypal claim, and I've already responded to the case with shipping proof that the buyer already has the product and that there are so many signs that this buyer is just a fraud and trying to get away with my product without paying for it.

Now I'm awaiting PayPal's response.

My question is though: Let's say I win this Paypal case, couldn't the buyer just go into the eBay Resolution Center and open another case on me as an attempt to still get his money back?

Since this Unauthorized claim is opened in Paypal, isn't there anything I have to adjust in my eBay account about the product that the buyer bought from me?

Also what is the average duration before Unauthorized PP claims are resolved?

Thanks,
Sedoc94

Once you open a case on one of the sites, you lose the ability to open one on the other site. So once he loses the PayPal claim, it's game over for him.

My unauthorized PP claim took 3 months but I won it. After you provide your side of the case, they forward that to the person's credit card company who makes the final decision...which can take them very long (My buyer's CC company decided in my favor before, so don't think they'll automatically favor the buyer) However if their funds didn't come from a credit card, it will be up to PayPal I believe...who can take up to 3 weeks (in my other PP claim experience).

And I'm sure they can NOT open a case with eBay if they've lost their PayPal case.

Cant open on both - and in the event that he could, you can always contact and explain - it will be favourable for you since he is not allowed to open 2 claims.

The two companies decided to disallow 'double dipping'.

It is not possible to try to get funds for the same item if one claim is rejected.

ebay suspended a buyer who tried that on with one of my accounts.

paypal were delighted to help me.

Sedoc,
If you have seller protection on the transaction and call into Paypal they should release the funds on the spot for an unauthorized Claim. At least that's been my experience in the US.

A chargeback is another story...
