If you block out number on your SSN submission to pp (though I would never submit personal info of ANY kind), pp will likely come back and say "We want clear information etc." They want the entire number for their files.

This has to do with a cc card .They put a hold on it for a paypal trans in mix match names. The cc is aking for info of alternate person.(stealth person)can this be fudged..

They have asked for a SSN before. I have never heard of them asking for a copy of the SSN Card.

Are they asking for SSN or are they saying you have to provide one?

Are you sure they asked for a scanned copy of the card? Normally they ask for the number, but they don't need you to actually scan the card. A lot of people have their numbers memorized but have no card.
