what problem

damionjm 06-28-2013 03:57 PM

I cant complete a transaction because its asking me to add a number and i already have a textnow free number attached..then when i try to add a new number its saying that i i should choose the address that matches the number

danshan 06-28-2013 04:02 PM

describe the details where and when details details!

hoosays 06-28-2013 04:05 PM

yeah I don't understand why the services that had no problem now are not working

damionjm 06-28-2013 04:12 PM

okay well i have created a stealth paypal, added everything from bank acc to debit cc. I have money in bank account but this is my third pp.

Am using the account where i signed up from however thats not the address on file or near it as its like my address in georgia and am in new york for instance...same distance though.

When i called them they say i shoudl try back in 2-3 hours. When i try it keeps asking to call me ,ive only changed the number once. the first one i removed and ive had the account for like 2 weeks. got limitation yesterday and sorted it out same day...they asked me for photo id and to confirm address and cc statement.

I got limited about 20 minutes after adding a bancore visa. Lucky me i sweet talk the agent and didnt end up sending id documents and sent a legitimate statement which matched the address but was just not for my visa. THe person didnt even checked . Limitation lifted without id.

Now when i try to do back this transaction for 2k they want to call. I try for 20usd same thing. I am asking if there is any service where i can use which will by pass or give me a number so i can pass their phone verification.

Textfree now aint working. So when i click to pay an invoice, they ask to call but when i click call it says it cant verify my number. I add another and its asking to select the address where it matches.

danshan 06-28-2013 04:15 PM

yes you cant add bank accounts like that if you dont have a landline you need to do the micros to get it done

I have no problem doing the deposits if I could even get to that point with paypal. I have added bank accounts to other paypal accounts without this problem of them even asking for a phone number.

danshan 06-28-2013 04:26 PM

yes many people have had this problem with a landline and here all people will tell you is

1. I dont have this problem it must be how you created the account
2 use google voice, text +89676 use this app that app but none that I have tried work

I call gas stations to confirm my landline problems with paypal

MM78 06-28-2013 04:57 PM

I have a theory...I think the problem might be when registering the Paypal and Using a "Free" phone forwarding number. I use Vumber and I've never had this problem.

hoosays 06-28-2013 05:05 PM

you mean vnumber? I've tried that, same thing

MM78 06-28-2013 06:52 PM

Yes i have quite a few of them

bigboddie 06-28-2013 09:51 PM

Op something just doesn't add up here, actually nothing adds up here, have you tried a burner? This bit reminds me a lot of the clock people. No way you can't verify by phone everyone else can.

danshan 06-28-2013 11:56 PM

Please introduce me to everyone because I cant

newjerseymax 06-29-2013 07:57 AM

Used all methods mentioned and no problem. Cant explain why not working...

when i used vumber - the call came through and asks me if to press 1 to accept - by then the verification numbers are read. how do you get the 5 digits? is there a way w/vumber to bypass accepting the calls with a 1.the recording is already over by the time i answer the vumber call. thx.

danshan 06-29-2013 02:13 PM

you got farther than most with Vumber and that is why I have never believed anyone that said they used vumber for this process

stealthychew 07-01-2013 03:37 PM

^ i had on the "announce call" - so the call was not automatically routed (which is why I pressed "1" to accept the call). i changed it to - do not notify - so it would be direct call - but you're saying that Vumber will not work? i was going to use it, but i should probably use google voice, correct?

danshan 07-01-2013 03:41 PM

they both suck for this process, the phone verification process does not work unless you have a real registered landline. VOIP and cellphones do not work period! Someone tells me they use them all the time I say hell no!

danshan 07-01-2013 03:42 PM

I mean think about it pp is trying to confirm a location and how can you confirm a location with an internet phone number of any kind or a cellphone.

if your girlfriend wants to confirm your home the cell phone or magicjack wont work, she has to call the house number and you have to answer it and let her talk to the roommate so she believes you LOL

i had phone verification work on the cheapest trac phone 2x with paypal. i am in US.

at first, i had a stealth number - so when it asked for phone verification - i had to change my number - and for the first 24 hours - it only tried to dial the old number. the next day, it dialed the new number trac phone and it worked. this was in May 2013.

your trac phone area code should match the city where you say your address is.

danshan 07-01-2013 04:01 PM

phone verification and confirm location might be two different things I am not 100 sure of that.

why should your tracfone area code matter?

what sense does that make to confirm location?

stealthychew 07-01-2013 05:13 PM

^ i'm no expert, obviously. i just think that it might be suspect if you say you live in 90210 and your telephone is 212, not 213. i don't recall if the request was verify or confirm. i'll let you know as soon as i open a new one. i've only had one stealth closed and that closed the legit working account cause i sent money from it. otherwise, i've never had a suspended EB. then again, i don't sell much.

Lot of posts to argue otherwise...I just used a voip last night for a new PP US account - no issues

danshan 07-02-2013 03:25 PM

Yes you can use voip and all the internet junk services but not to confirm location

StealthAssassin 07-02-2013 04:11 PM

I have had this problem in the past as well. I have tried no less than a dozen number forwarding services and NONE work for when you are trying to make a purchase or withdraw money and you get that "we're going to give you a call" messages. NONE!!!!!

Now, with that said, say you get limited and you get the simple "confirm location" requirement or if you get the "confirm location" requirement by some other means. Then YES using vumber, google voice, etc.. WILL WORK.

I repeat, if you get that "we're going to give you a call" message while trying to purchase something or withdraw money, you need a LANDLINE to bypass that or a paid VOIP (like Comcast). I have had a prepaid T-mobile number work before and some Trac Fones and the like can also work...no guarantee though. I have had a forwarding number attached to a PP account and got hit with the dreaded "we're going to give you a call" message. I figured no big deal...got a prepaid SIM for a T-mobile phone and added the new number. To my surprise and dismay...it said it couldn't "verify" the number. Perhaps the prepaid number has to be added when you first create the PP account???

Your phone number is cross referenced with a database in real time. Those number forwarding services WILL NOT WORK!

I hope this has cleared up some confusion. I'm sure there will be some here who will challenge this though, or even think "confirm location" and "we're going to give you a call" are one in the same. The latter is a whole different beast. "Confirm location" is the equivalent of verifying a number on ebay....which is essentially NOTHING...childs play if you will.

Good clarification - thanks StealthAssassin

bluejet 07-30-2013 10:29 AM

Paypal is really beginning to piss me off. What the hell is going on with this "we're going to give you a call rubbish??????

I tried using a land line WITH the correct address and still wont work

bigboddie 07-30-2013 11:16 AM

Cell phones prepaid or not work just fine. What's throwing a wrench in the works is the rest of the "stealth process" slim it down and it works.

elitepowersales 07-30-2013 07:59 PM

I had something similar happen. Tried to send a payment to another one of my paypal accounts about a month later. They wanted verification. Sometimes it is the CC you opened the account with or they will call you on your phone number listed. Well I no longer had the phone number so when I tried to change I got your new phone number could not be matched to an address. Then i got the 4 questions to verify who you are like on Ebay. At that point I just made an over payment to Ebay of my selling fees and zeroed out the paypal account. I then stop shipping on 2 items that were to go out and told the buyers I was out of stock and to file item not received for refund.

rsot 08-02-2013 03:32 PM

It is the sending of payment between your PP accounts that caused you an issue (not the only thing but a huge factor here) - recommendation stands to avoid sending money between your own pp accounts.

Not correct, some have posted they were trying to purchase something or even withdraw to their bank as well. It is not just pp to pp that is causing members to get this phone verification message.

This is interesting. So it seems there is not solution for phone verification as of yet

It seems a land line attached to your billing address is the only solution I have been able to find.

Re: Paypal: "We couldn't verify this phone number"

But that doesn't work which the majority of people are saying. How is that possible when you have multiple stealth Addresses and you need a landline that matches that address. It seems the majority of us try to verify phone location with cellphone and landlines and 9 times out of 10, you receive the message stating it didn't work and pp has to send you verif code to the address on file. That can take a few weeks to receive. Something is not adding up here
