Paypal: "We couldn't verify this phone number"

Anyone know a workaround for the annoying Paypal phone verification? Every time I log in a Paypal account from "a new computer", they won't let me withdraw unless I complete their stupid phone verification, which doesn't even involve calling anyone. They attempt to match info with public records and other databases, and then say "We couldn't verify this phone number". Anyone know what to do?

Dmshark25 05-29-2013 12:42 PM

Yes you need to call from the phone number that you registered with when you created the account .

Dmshark25 05-29-2013 12:45 PM

And it's not good to withdrawal to your bank account from a diff computer/IP too many times will result In limitation

Sandy D 05-29-2013 09:27 PM

Are you logging in the the same computer and user account every time?

Something is flagging your account.

You just cannot log in and out from different computers a lot.

cygnusx1 05-30-2013 11:11 PM

They probably don't see their cookies and other tracking stuff.

Why are you signing in from a new computer?

What is the reason for this?

It is known that paypal want to see cookies, same IP whenever the account is being used.

Explain what you are doing.

Why cant you just stick to one computer with standard activity - anything preventing you from that?

:ranger:

lets say one PC you're using has 3 different User Accounts each with its own Stealth EB .....and you use Firefox (same program) for each User Account.... do you still need to clear cache n cookies each time you log on? Or is it unnecessary to clear out cookies as long as User Account is separate ?

danshan 06-01-2013 10:52 PM

Anyone know how to pass phone verification?

I know I hate when paypal has me on something it drives me insane my goal is to beat all their checks and this one is killing me!

oompaloompa 06-02-2013 10:46 AM

if you have to log in from many computers and you have to clear cookies regularly (both not recommend), then prepare the user a day before, log in and play around, then withdraw the next day, that way it will have some cookies on file...

what about us ppl who use the Ipad method for stealth & PP? (since One IPAD lets you sign on diff Stealth & PP as long as you clear cookies in Safari options). Is this still not recommended? What about the fact that Mac address can't be read off an Ipad device ?

Almost Nobody on this forum from the us knows how to pass a phone verification and the ones who know it wont say it. Trust me I have researched it and tried many companies. Really hard to get it through it unless you get a landline like att or old companies from back in the day. I could be wrong.

Dmshark25 06-05-2013 06:59 AM

I never once have been asked to phone verify any Paypal account over 30 accounts and 10 months, when do they ask this??

Dmshark25 06-05-2013 11:22 AM

The Prince of the half-baked statements.

Tell me why I should tell you ( or anyone else for that matter) how to deal with a paypal request of a landline WHEN it is not happening to any of the accounts.

It's been outlined on the forum more than a few users make paypal accounts yet never get asked to supply landlines when they do a transaction.

HTFudge can we give an answer when we do not have the issue?

I've asked many many users here on account of this ongoing moaning regarding the landline.

Reply is I dunno.

Solution: keep searching if you are having the issue.

I still think there are issues with the creation of the accounts.

I am not doing further dentistry to try to extract the reasons.

:boink:

danshan 06-06-2013 09:05 AM

I want to thank everyone for their effort in trying to help with this issue. I personally will keep working on this and will report back if I run across anything with success

No you keep the cookies - just separate user accounts hapajenn1

Relax you get all hyped up on answering my questions. I know your excited to fill my brain up with goodies lol. The truth is I have researched like crazy this website over website and nobody gives a solution. The best bet is to try all landlines of course I dont have that kind of time and money to bother with right now. Hopefully somebody can find a cure for this in the future.

Dmshark25 06-07-2013 04:47 AM

Had this happen once over 6 month period the way around is never withdrawal from strange computer, but if u did I just used google voice from the iPhone app it turns ur iPhone into a cell or a iPod touch into a cell, it just called the number that I used when opening the account which is google voice and when I registered the number said it was a landline and than they called got 4 digit number entered it and was able to withdrawal. , but this should never happen if u need to use new computer create a new user account build cookies a couple days than withdrawal small amount, but avoid this unless u have too

You simply tell PP you switch the phone number, buy a new phone number that connect with your mobile then you can also complete the sms mobile verification. I used freephoneline.ca (I guess there similar service provide in US). I saw few online and cost few dollars only.

Everytime you tried to call paypal you can use VOIPbuster because it allows you to display whatever number you want paypal to see even it is stealth number......

Not sure if that's help....

danshan 06-11-2013 01:53 PM

none of that stuff works for US

United States Virtual Phone Numbers - Use as a local number or Call forwarding

TollFreeForwarding.com - The #1 provider of international toll-free and local phone numbers

not sure if it works, i use similar services.

if you want to call paypal that display the number as you sign up then (for those of you have not yet sign up paypal):

1-purchase a new phone number that connect/forward to mobile
2-register voipbuster and install the program
3-on voipbuster choose phone to phone enter ur paypal number then paypal CS number press OK/DIAL then pick up the call from mobile since "PAYPAL NUMBER" connect to ur mobile.

One VOIPBUSTER works international and can display any number you want, as long as you purchase a number that can forward to your mobile (you can also just call someone using computer and no need to connect to mobile)

If you just random make up number when you sign up paypal then basically you can also use voipbuster to call paypal but paypal cant reach you by phone since the number is stealth

Tip: If you use Firefox you can set up different profiles with different proxies with profile manager and keep all cookies for all your accounts

I have had a stealth paypal account for a few years and now when trying to add a bank account I, too keep getting the "sorry we can't verify this phone number". I've tried google voice, flynumber, tossable digits, etc all of those used to work. This is getting ridiculous! Anybody?

danshan 06-28-2013 03:47 PM

no none of that stuff works for confirm bank you need to do micro deposits if you do not have a REAL landline

hoosays 06-28-2013 03:50 PM

no not to confirm bank accounts, I can't even get to the point of confirming the account

danshan 06-28-2013 03:51 PM

what do you need it for ? where are they asking you for it.

hoosays 06-28-2013 03:54 PM

As soon as I add another bank account on the next screen they ask me, when I give them the phone number they tell me it can't be verified.

damionjm 06-28-2013 03:55 PM

having the same problem
