Yeah its definitely not a specific bank, I tried just about all of them. Adding a bank in the country of the account it goes right through. Paypal seems to be acknowledging the problem but no eta on when it will be fixed. Its not like its a small problem, even buyers who want to purchase items using there usa accounts are having issues. Its not just us sellers who like multiple international accounts. I think paypal is keeping us out the loop on something :spy: |
Agreed with this. As of late I've had numerous complaints of international buyers pp accounts unable to complete a purchase.
On a side note I emailed them regarding unable to add an account to a newly created CA pp account. They have not responded. Its been about a week.
I attempted to add a new us bank to a well established CA pp account . This account has been used over a year and completed 100s of traansfers to my us bank. The add seemed to go through. The system was asking to call me to verify identity. To which I presses cancel because the account no was not valid.
I will keep trying and at some point I will call them. My thouhhts are pp is working on new verification or security features and its glichy or they are refusing to add accounts until the system is up and working. |

As of right now you have to call so they can lift security features for you to add a us bank. I agree with MacBook. Something they tried to do is backfiring in the system, now they don't know how fix it :nono: |

Here's to hoping the only change has been the addition of a phone call verification when you add a bank account. |

Found a few threads on other boards about people having the same problem. It's amazing how each paypal phone rep gives them a different reason/excuse.
"it will be fixed tonight"
"it will be fixed in 24 hours"
"it's a new security measure"
"it's a glitch"
"it has been fixed, you can add it now"
etc etc |

That problem is resolved. You have a problem with your bank account. I can not add your account to paypal.
Um, that is why I called you up paypal. I wanted to have your usual lack of service.

Lots of trials, different banks and nothing seems to be working. It will be a pain if we have to call pp each time. Not giving up though, there has to be a way |

And after verifying my account, they told me that I can add an US bank account.
2 days of efforts but I was able to add. |
