always getting these! bloody nuisance's!!! i always hover over the link and it shows the actual web address (bottom left of browser), failing that if im in a joyful mood i click the link and enter bogus details, such as email: suckmy***@hotmail.com and password: f**kyoun00bie... lol :P gives me great pleasure to think somewhere, someone just got an email alert, and thinking they've struck gold, get those credentials! muahahahahahahaaaaa!

it doesn't work like that. I have a lot of transactions when buyers open a claim UNUTHORIZED PAYMENT. And my paypal doesn't receive any messages inside pp acc since I upgraded it to business. One of the transactions is still under review and maybe I will never get my money back! Because pp sent me an email TO NOT SHIP item. But it was shipped using autoordering.

I got a call from this number 1-844-496-0333 asking my paypal info. He claimed to be from pypal and wanted to verify my account after policy update.

I'd always take the name of the person, and their department, and tell them you'll call back using PayPal official phone number.

If they're happy to wait for your call, they're most likely genuine. If their hesitant, and begin to make excuses, it's most likely a hoax.

Always be suspicious of calls out of the blue. From any company for that matter.

Thank you for the heads up, i have noticed that recently especially paypal scammers trying to have you send stuff through paypal including phony emails which look like paypal but are truly not

Very true - if you don't do proper checking of e-mails and sales, you can get burned by these ppl

This is what I was actually talking about with the other thread. Also, you can distinguish phishing emails by hovering your mouse to the email address or name portion of the sender because it will show the email address that they are using and if it's using such paypal domain, then it's not PAYPAL.
