paypal phone verification
 

Looked up some info on this forum. Not to much info on it. Have not had to make a pp or ebay account in along time. is this new for everyone or have i might have did something wrong.

Never had to verify phone on pp but had to when i signed up last night for new account. always used googol voice to phone verification through ebay.

It seems on point wont let me use google voice on there and phone number must match addy. Is it going to be like this all the time or did i get linked somehow? trac phone work on pp?

GV to tracphone still works but the phone part but verification by phone has been having issues with requiring a landline as of recently...lot of posts about this in terms of discussion - worth trying a different callforwarding service

Been a few changes in the setting up of new accounts.

Phone issues have given many users hassles.

The user Dmshark25 has suggested a really good workaround for this.

His idea is to use TEXT +

HI.
i`m getting a screen of paypal that says I need call you and it asks you to enter a phone number and unlike the sign up phone number ... i`ve tried used gv, voip numbers, callfoward service without success... appreciate any kind of additional information in order to help bypass this verification..

This is an recent issue that popped up for a few of us. Still working on a solution. My thought is PP wants a Landline Phone # to match the address on file. I'll keep you posted if I find a solution.

They would not work to confirm location.
