Default Signature for over $250? Mandatory

Its been awhile but does paypal still automatically side with the buyer in the case of tracking showing the item is delivered but no signature confirmation on packages over $250?

i know paypal is always changing its terms and rules so just wondering. havent heard too many people complain about scams so wanted to make sure before listing items.

I personally Get sig conformation with anything over $75, international on the shipping program, and for PO boxes.

The scammers are still out there. More than ever.

As far as winning claims over delivery, I have not had much of an issue.

ebay changed to $750.00 last year and that caused lots of problems because paypal was still at $250.00 so paypal adjusted to $750.00 as well now.

Long implementation time - classic case of the left brain not knowing what the other side was up to

A couple of years ago, I lost an eBay dispute for an item that stated delivered on the tracking details, but buyer stated they never got it. Item was $275 if I remember.

Signature confirmation would have won my case, but alas, I didn't spring the extra cost for that. I thought

I did manage to recoup some lost money by filing domestic claim with USPS...but still to this day a little upset that this buyer got the item and didn't pay for it.

Use Signature Confirmation for any item that you consider high value to YOU (an item that wouldn't want to "write off" as a loss).

For items that expensive, I would get signature confirmation 100% of the time either way. It's only a few extra dollars and it gives you one more layer of protection.

to be honest I rarely do unless its over a 100 bucks.

after the extra costs of sig and ebay fees its pointless on 50 dollar items.

tho I just had a brand new ebayer open a case over a 60 dollar brand new item..

I sure am glad I got sig, otherwise it probably would have been a total loss.

I play it by feel alot of times. a solid member with good feedback and the dollar amount is things I factor in.

anything over a 100 I usually always do.

I follow ebay and paypals policy,m when it was $250.00 that is what I did. Now that is it $750.00, I follow that. Many of my buyers live in rural areas and are quite unhappy when they can not meet Fedex to sign and have to drive sometimes an hour or more each way to pick up and sign for a package. Every situation is different for sure.

That's the bottom line of doing business.

Need to adjust the situation for evey case.

I figure if the buyer is that keen for my item, they can be covered with insurance, delivery signatures etc.

That way I can happily boost the prices for my profits.

What im asking is. Ok say i send an item and god forbid i sent it without signature and it was over $750.. say $875?. IF the buyer filed a claim against me even though it showed delivered but no signature, would i lose? or did paypal change this.

hypothetical question.
