Re: 180 Day dispute claim window comes to USA...

They are basically telling people anything you buy with PP is FREE.

Do whatever the fvck you want with your purchases for 6 months and on the 179th day, don't be afraid to just go ahead and sc@m the sh!t out of the person who sold it to you. They don't have a life and don't need money. Ste.al everything you can from them until they're dead. And even when they're dead, don't be afraid to l00t whatever is left on they're rotting body. We here at PP embrace cri.me and encourage you to do the same with all of your past and future shopping.

Hassle free, unlimited returns, zero-liability chargebacks. Welcome to the literal FREE world. Welcome to PP!

Not much we can do but hope for good buyers.

As far as these charge backs though, i've came across quite a number. All ruled in my favor. Didn't provide much but a nice explanation what the buyer is trying to do (scam) and provided tracking. This has solved it for me 99% of the times.

Re: 180 Day dispute claim window comes to USA...

Unbelievable...180 days is way too long, even credit cards don't provide charge back guarentee for this amount of time.

This is literally paypal's way of telling sellers to go f- themselves. So many things can go wrong during a 6 month window due to buyer's negligence, and it's not a common practice for them to make excuses and blame it on the seller months after they've been using the item. I definitely don't think I want to sell using Paypal anymore.

Honestly as a seller, i could literally get most things off ebay for free as a buyer, because i know how ebay handles these cases. It's a good thing i have something called ethic's when it comes to these things.

It says PP.com...I really need to explain that????

Anyways, Walmart, the biggest retailer in the world, offers a maximum of 90 days to return products and that's only very specific products. Now, with PP, you get 180 days.

How does that even make sense? Most stores are 14-30 days. Only a handful are 60-90 days. PP just trounced all of them. And you can't just sc.am the sh!t out of retailers like you can PP. They are trying to funnel billions with ZERO losses and ZERO liability. That should be fvcking ill.egal.

Re: 180 Day dispute claim window comes to USA...

Fortunately most buyers are honest and wouldnt abuse this.

Also, most buyers wont pay any attention to updates that paypal and ebay make. Most casual users I know still believe sellers can leave them negative feedback

Besides, you think 6 months is bad. In the uk the distance selling regulations were recently superceded (cant remember the new name) basically unless you include a cancellation form in your listings a buyer has up to 2 YEARS to return an item. The seller is also legally oblidged to pay to have the item returned to them.

So in theory we have a 2 year rental period, lovely huh.

This is going to be great for flippers. Imagine buying something and then putting it up for sale with a markup for 5 months and being able to return it if it doesn't sell.

Not a new idea. This kind of thing is already rampant. After this change everybody will be doing it.

Re: 180 Day dispute claim window comes to USA...

For the things I sell, I don't think I will have a problem. My return rate is less than one-half of one percent. But if I were selling electronics or other expensive items, this policy would make me think twice.

I could see a buyer purchasing a computer, overclocking it and leaving it running 24/7. The system is cooked in 5 months and then they want to return it because it is "not as described".

It is almost like being forced to insure the item for 6 months against buyer misuse and stupidity.

What about apparel? Could you buy a dress, wear it a few times over 6 months and then decide to return it? I know that some people do that now over shorter time periods.

Of course you could. And that will happen. People will figure it all out just like those who have figured out how to open cases now and get whatever they want for free.
