I've never seen a hold on an off EB transaction.

Just went back and double checked. 45 day old PP attached to an Etsy account, 27 transactions, no holds.

The 'gifts and family' transfers can get you in trouble, though, if you do it a lot.

I know I am new here, but I am far from "New" if you know what I mean.

If you do things in a certain order when creating the account, you can get the 21 day hold lifted without adding a bank account or credit card..

Its just all in the exact order you do things in.. I have created several paypals and have never had a problem getting the 21 day hold removed with only having the phone number and email address verified and always within an hour of creating the account.

I've honestly found that simply going through the motions with the account is a good method. I sometimes make them and leave them sit for a few days/weeks and wait for Paypal to contact me about adding a bank/card to get their "benefits" and haven't hit a snag with that yet.

would you car to share the EXACT order you create your accounts in then for people like me who can do with this extra knowledge ?

Don't bother, that was just someone trolling. It's his only post and I've PMed and e-mailed him several times with no avail. He also hasnt been online since making that post.

interesting, is this for new accounts only? I have a few accounts that are months old and I was wondering if I could get that email.

Yes you do got non eBay holds, new accounts are more prone

Is this legit? They lifting the holds? What questions will they ask you? SSN and proof of address?
