b.o.a, chase, etc, they all have a minimum of around 1000 -1500, otherwise, there is a 12 dollar montly maintenance fee.

These are the banks that have been recommend.. so do people actually load the account with 1500 before using it?

If you can try to always enroll as a student that saves alot of money when starting ebay. You can also look around this very form "ebay discussion" or "paypal talk" to see latest banks that allow new stealthers in.

I do not have a single account that has a minimum monthly balance.
But lets just say there was a $12.00 so what? You are not going to make any money because of this fee?

I have a few accounts where a minimum is required to avoid the fee - 1500 is an example - what's the problem with keeping that amount in if you have it?

I don't think you understand the minimum monthly deposit. They don't expect you to have $1,500 before using it.....it's $1,500 in deposits within 1 month period. Just to add to Yankee's response, If you can't cover $12 in fee's you should just stop now. Also I notice people talking about multiple accounts, there's no need to open the bank accounts BEFORE you make your Stealths. If $12 worries you....then start with 1 bank account and get it going with deposits.

I have accounts with several banks and not a single one has that sort of fee.
If anything they require a balance of $300 exist in the account to avoid a fee of $3 or so.

Stealth COSTS. Not a lot, but there ARE some costs, like a bank account, a working phone, an internet connection or a VPN, etc. It costs me less than $20 per month to run 1 stealth account. But I make a lot more than $20 on each account. If you wanted to start a business in the physical world, you would have rent, electricity, advertising, insurance, water, gas, licensing, trash pickup, janitorial services, alarm costs, etc.

All in all, operating on line is a lot cheaper.

Try opening accounts with Credit Unions, most of them don't have minimum requirements.

Right out of the gate, you have to accept that there is a certain cost to doing business. If you don't have 1K to deposit, then the 12/mo fee is just part of the cost of doing business.
