Uploading photo ID's?
 

I need some advice. I have a passport done for paypal's request for a photo ID. I have heard mixed things such as license's have a higher rejection rate, color photo's also. My question is, should I upload a picture of the passport on a table or just a black and white photo copy of just the passport?

I think an upload of a black and white photo would look suspicious. If I were reviewing it, my question would be, why didn't he scan it in color?

If you were going to mail it, that would be different. Because most photocopiers out there are still black and white.

Documents are always a dicey thing. Some are accepted and some are rejected.

If it were ME making this decision, I would do it on the table and slightly blur the image, while keeping it LEGIBLE. But it is a gamble, either way.

Don't upload it here lol. Picture on a table will always be better than a black / white photo copy.

I've heard that some people print and then fax it to PayPal (black & white, of course).

Listen, this is what you do........

Scan in your docs and edit them to an appropriate size and convert to black & white in jpeg format.

Then, strip the jpegs of their metadata then upload via pp website.

Wait a few days and you will more than likely get a positive email says its all good.

Works 99% of the time.

There are mixed opinions on this thread, but I sent in hundreds of docs man at 99% success rate, so just do it man.
