Haidukken | 10-16-2015 03:01 AM | Paypal holding funds because of BUYER Long story short: Sold an item yesterday for BIT and customer was from Ireland- He paid for the item right away.
Instantly I get an email notification from Paypal, telling me that I have a case open in resolution centre.
I go to resolution centre and they have put the funds on hold because of the BUYER, not because of me.
They want me to "do something" with the case and give me the following options:
"nope, I did not send the item and want to refund the money"
"I can prove that I have shipped the item, adding tracking info"
*insert an option that I can't remember at the moment*
"non of the above"
Seller had his account created for that purchase and I have already messaged the buyer and asked him to confirm the provided address- Paypal mentioned something about buyer address verification.
Seller has confirmed to me via message that the address provided is correct and I'd send the item tracked anyway.
Question:
Do I ship the item and provide Paypal with tracking information or do I just chicken out and avoid any future problems by selecting the first option "I haven't sent item, refund the buyer" and write them a whole essey about how I think how important this protection for sellers is and I appreciate the help.
Might be a common thing with new buyers and NOT verified accounts on their behalf but its the first time I've had something like this happen to me.
Weird when PP shows concern for sellers, not the usual pitchfork mentality. |
