Can you share with us how many transfers you were doing weekly and the $ amounts for that one account that was flagged for using it as a business account?


Also i will add for anyone whos using savings accounts to be careful with your withdrawals. Not sure if all but i know some banks are really strict with this and they will flag your accounts pretty quick and even shut down them.

No memos. I'm estimating about 1-3 transfers a month for a few hundred dollars on about 3 accounts.

Just want to clarify, OP, in the original post you mentioned mismatched name being a possible issue, are you certain after talking with the second rep that the whole problem was just because of the business being conducted on a personal account and that they didn't care at all about the PP deposit not being in your name?

Ally bank has been known for being bad for mismatched name deposits (auto-block issues) but this case indicates that while it works for stealth, there is chance for manual review....like any bank can do.

Correct. Original issue was the mismatched names as posted. It was a different "agent" assigned to my account. After about two weeks I was contacted by an agent possibly from a different department-- I did not want to inquire too much -- and this much nicer guy did not mention anything about fraud/ mismatched names but rather just went into the system to read the notes,m to remind himself why he called and explained that the reason for the block was that business activity was being conducted on a personal account.
