Question Paypal security more aggressive for Dec?

I have had 4 accounts limited this month after receiving just a few non ebay payments from my website. I rarely get limited, so im assuming because its the month of Dec with the holidays approaching that paypal has made their system more aggressive to limit people left and right. Is it just me or is anyone else having troubles?

PayPal definitely becomes more aggressive from black friday until the end of december. Do your best to avoid raising any red flags at all.

Yes they increase security BUT if your account is in good graces, you shouldn't be affected. If you did the same thing on a good account now or February it wouldn't make a difference.

I think we forget that by limiting more accounts they LOOSE more money. We make them money every transaction that hits our account. So unless your either doing it on a shaky account or just getting sketchy payments then that's the reason.

I've had a few transactions that have been "under review" when first sent. Within 24 hours the payment is "cleared, OK to send" and that is that. So yes, things are under a bit more scrutiny. If you are in good standing with Paypal, it shouldn't matter.

Best thing to start selling Jun-July timeframe so when 3mo passes, perfect for holidays.

Welcome to the forums - with PP you can never just assume it's the period of time.

Are you selling digital items by chance?

YES! I think there is security issue around this time of year, but to be clear (at least in my experience) it's not the type of problem that makes selling impossible- the key difference is that if you have a new account, this isn't the time to work it hard and accelerate your turnover numbers like crazy. If you have an established account and are moving a large number but it's similar to the previous months, I really don't think you'll have any issues whatsoever. At least I haven't. The only difference around this time of year is that I don't increase the use by big percentages on new or un-established accounts.
