Yes, from the looks of it Google has started venturing into a new market i suspect that they be slowly changing chrome as time goes on.

I have, but most of that post doesn't make much sense.

Anyways, on the topic of Chrome dropping Java applets and Flash, it's is a decision I support.
Both are getting quite outdated, resource hogs, and are full of security flaws.
HTML5 is doing much better than the two combined in just about every way. If anything, Google is trying to push the internet forward.

Too bad GYFT requires anal probing for users paying with new pp accounts. Similar site to buy gift cards is egifter.com

This is what pisses me off..Kmart and gyft are the 2 places that wanted all kinds of background personal info just to make a purchase.

I used paypal at home depot before at a-self checkout and you just enter in your email and password.

I also purchased sneakers at FootLocker this past summer. Which was nice, i didn't even know they accepted paypal until i got to the register, everything went right through, again just email and password, no ID or anything needed

He was referring to making a purchase in a Footlocker store using a register. There would be no need for shipping since the buyer walks out of the store with their purchase...

@Dmshark25 - That's the first useful suggestion I've read in this thread. Someone is getting some new kicks tomorrow! I wonder if home depot would let you pay for big stuff with a stealth paypal. If I could use a stealth paypal balance to buy a brand new $5k zero-turn mower, I could easily convert that to actual cash. I think I may pay a visit to my local Home Depot this evening...

That is really pretty useful to know!

Re: Spend your Paypal money here!

To answer my own question, it looks like it may be possible. This is on the website, don't know if it's the same in store.
http://s24.postimg.org/yr2uk631h/adsf.png

It may even be possible to purchase online from them using a stealth paypal. They offer to ship to store so that would bypass the "stealth address" problem. I suppose it would be problematic when you go to pick up the mower and your ID doesn't match the paypal account though. Hell, I think I would get a f ake ID made for a new lawn mower. Still may be possible to make large purchases in store using paypal. I don't know, but it's an interesting possibility to ponder...

EDIT: On a side note, anyone else notice Home Depot's typo?

Kogan is accepting paypal and he got some new groceries, nice for Aussies. Vitacost also works well if you need some supplements.
