PAYPAL request to verified phone number!!!
 

I have gotten an stealth eBay account from a seller on this website. I have sold successfully my item on eBay recently but when I signed in to Paypal, they requested me to verified my phone number by text/call. This number isn't belong with me. What should I do right now?

I think you should be able to change/edit that number somehow.
But if you can't see any way to edit it -- I suggest you wait a little or call PP and tell them you've made a mistake while entering the phone number.

I'm about to change the phone number but my seller told me before that Do not change any inf on ebay/paypal account. Thats make me so confusing..

Well contact your account seller then and ask maybe he has access to the phone number he provided with the account. ;)

What you must do right now is go back to your seller.

Work out with him what to do.

The seller was correct about changing info too quickly with accounts.

Is there anyway that the phone verification will go away? I accidentally cleared my cookies when doing some PC maintenance.

I found that logging out of paypal for a few days (don't log back in during this time) while at the same time, building ebay cookies will help a lot.

I have the same problem with PP phone verify but to make it worse I made number when registering. Not sure what to do :(

YOU NEVER want to use made up numbers when registering a PayPal account. Now you won't be able to add a bank account or change anything without it asking for that number. YOU ALWAYS want to use a real number that you can save.

I recommend the Burner app for your phone. It costs about $2 to make a number that will last around 30 days. You can keep renewing the number as many times as you want (you just keep paying of course) But you can burn it whenever you don't need it anymore and it works great with getting text messages from PayPal

In your situation you'll need to add a new number BUT it will take a few months before they allow you to use that number to verify the account. Sorry but that's the only way. I learned this the hard way

It lasts forever but it's seen from the PP system & reps that you use such service. Which in the long-term is not good and/or safe.

It was explained why 2 years ago. Also anyone can lookup their own number – you will see SOME of the things that the other side (eB/PP system using TeleSign & Syniverse) can see, like country, carrier, type, mobile country code. This gives you basic info.

So when you write some Google Voice, Burner App, any other iOS/Android App and/or internet service, you should be 100% sure that they do NOT gives you a real (physical) SIM-like phone number.

What's the best way? Of course a Pre-Paid SIM card with a real number and put the SIM into a real phone device (at best - into a non-smartphone, just a GSM - device, because they leak less sensitive metadata when eB/PP randomly pings).

Do you know how to make google voice number for free ?
I know only that it could be made if you got also real phone number in US.
And i know there is a workaround with SIP services to get GV, but don't know full method. Could you advise in PM ?

[SIZE="3"] This is a stealth Paypal account I got from over 2 months ago.
I've added a new phone # to my Paypal account before, and it has been verified already. I never delete the old virtual phone.
I'm about to withdraw funds to my bank account, but Paypal requested me to verify phone number (virtual) again.. they had 2 options "receive a text or have a call from us" and " add a new number to verify".
Any pointers as what I should do? :help:

Try both options it will either let you or if it won't let you it will say some bs about it not being in your name which is a excuse.

Now all sellers, who selling stealth paypal accounts add googe voice it working also when account limited. When account limited you can't add new phone and can't confirm via text or call, if you dont have same holder phone :) i tested it

1 way - when account working need add google voice number they working fine, but if account limited your can't do nothing

Google voice or any of those free app phone numbers won't work. It only works when you create a stealth PayPal account but after that they'll ask you this, "Sorry your name don't match name of the phone number your using". This is an error from hell lol There's ways to get around this by spoofing your phone number to actually matching the phone number on your account then you call PayPal using that same number and telling them I don't know what's wrong but its not sending me text message or calling me when I click on "send me text message code" but as you can see I'm calling you using my same number. Paypal thenlooks at your number your calling ffrom and says your right and then turns it off and now your able to use it again. Works for me every time. I know 4 other ways to get around it using free apps but that's all I'm sharing.
