EWHendo | 07-08-2016 09:25 AM | Understanding Levels of Account and ID Verification I am trying to fully understand the different levels of account verification Paypal has. Here is my understanding as of now:
Confirmed - This is the basic start up level, in which you confirm your phone number, email address, etc.
Verified - This is an upper level of verification, used to lift limits on withdrawing / sending money. It is done by completing 2 of the following 3:
1. Adding / Confirming your SSN
2. Adding / Confirming your Bank Account
3. Adding / Confirming your Debit / Credit Card
One more higher level?:
It seems that certain things will make PP request additional information to verify your identity. I believe that they will typically ask for:
-Photocopy of ID (Driver's License, Passport, etc)
-Photocopy of Utility Bill or other Proof of Address
-Photocopy of Proof of SSN (SS Card, Tax Return, etc)
Does this sound right to everyone from their experience?
One more question:
If I have a business account, and do something that triggers PP's request for more information, are they going to want a Driver's License, Proof of Address, and SS Card for the business? (The responsible party, I would suppose?) |
