Ask a PP Employee!!!

Yup. Me.

A lot of the advice is ... Crap. Sorry, true.

Re: Ask a PP Employee!!!

A lot of the advice given by Paypal employees is also crap though....

I take most of the advice I read about here with a grain of salt anyway. A lot of the stuff said here is purely speculation without any evidence to back it up. It's best to learn from your own experiences I guess!

Since you're here though, what kind of work do you do for Paypal? Are you able to explain why on one of my accounts I have $500 in payments received in July which are still pending?

We do a lot of speculation based on personal experiences, what others have seen and some is guess work. A lot of what PayPal does is crap, the "crap" answers that are given to people when inquiring about their accounts is "crap".....a lot more crap comes out of PayPal than this forum.

At least on this forum we try to help each other and give a sh*t about people who are trying to make a living.

As a start, which department do you work in, and what's your scope of knowledge?

Let's be honest, do we really believe they work for PayPal? And if this person does...are they going to divulge any important info? Doubt it.

Most paypal employees know less about how paypal work than the people in this forum... so, OP, if you have a question, just ask here

Please tell us a few examples of what advice you feel is crap. I think having someone in your position could be invaluable, so please don't let the negativity drive you away.

Remember you're dealing with a lot of frustrated people at platforms that seems intent on finding ways to destroy their incomes. Me included.

No response from OP - what a waste.

I should probably clarify-I was using the term crap not to offend but to start a discussion. One that is beneficial for all with accurate information sometimes hard to do.

Nice discussion you started there pal.
Right now the only person full of crap I can see here is you.
Unless you can give us concrete evidence that you are indeed a paypal employee with any sort of knowledge (and I know for a FACT that most costumer service reps have ZERO knowledge about paypal's systems which are mostly automated) you really need to just shut the F up and stop wasting people's time.

Then I will make you a deal, you show me your "factual evidence" and I will give you my employee ID number. Fair?

Hostility is not was not my intention at all. Was trying to be helpful in the arena we're obviously people are looking for, but not receiving any help.

well, you started this thread like a troll.

now you say you can't respond because you are 3rd shift. does this mean you just got to work and are using your work computer or you just got off work and are using your home computer? if you are #1, then you are useless.

Re: Ask a PP Employee!!!

Youre the one making the claims youre an employee pal.
Me I just spoke to plenty of employees over the years and with quite a few of them for long enough to get them to admit it outright. This included both regular reps and their supervisors who took over the conversation at my request. Many of these conversations were done with the specific purpose of confirming what I suspected at the time and now know for a fact - paypal costumer service reps know NOTHING of how the system works and barely have any tools to actually resolve issues unless the fully automated system allows them to do so.
What this means is that a bunch of monkeys could do the same job as them and probably with much better effectiveness.
I again say - youre full of crap and need to stop making claims and wasting people's time.
