Stealth PayPal Phone Verification
 

Hello,

Recently I made a stealth PayPal with obviously false information. However, the phone number I provided was in use and was my long time friend's number. I used that to make sure I don't run in to any verification issues.

However, I still ran in to this issue:

Has anyone been able to bypass this?

I heard that you can wait a week and it might go away, can anyone verify that?

Also, would it work if my friend called PayPal and said that the phone was registered in his Uncle's name or something?

I've clicked on every link on google and not much has been able to help.

Hello,

I have the same issue since more than 10 months, I used I virtual phone number to verify my PayPal account unfotunatly this phone number is not longer available, each time I try to login into my PP account I have the same message , I searched to fix this problem on the web but nothing found :mad:

Use a tracfone and then keep the number active. That has to be done at the start of the account creation though

If you use a number and then loose the number I really am not sure how you get he account back. I have seen a lot of people in the same situation but haven't really yet come across any solid answers myself

You receive this message because you are using VOip phone. You have to try real phone number, eventually. Have you tried Google Voice?

Tracfone will not work. Has to be a phone from a provider with your real name and address.

The above is simply not true. Tracfone works just fine.

This IS a real phone number, it is my long time friends phone number

However I just didn't touch my PayPal for a week and that has seemed to work.

But why you feel the need to use your friend's phone number?!?

believe me this issue due to the IP "vpn" . i have few paypal accounts ,it happened to me few months ago.all my accounts faced this problem and i was unable to use the,. i returned to my old vpn service and its done. if you can verify you mobile just leave it for 10 days then try.or change your vpn provider

In Canada you get a choice when signing up to add mobile and home phone, just mobile or just home. I just add home.

Could be bad eventually though? If you have no mobile number to verify they might want you to send in some verification eventually?

Been ok so far.
