ebay id verification via phone number
 

I set up an online number with an extension to forward to my cell phone. I put it in and waited for ebay to call me for 5 minutes, they didn't. I have done it before and they call right away. Help.

The company may have blocked ebays phone from calling. You usually wont receive the call if theyre blocking it. Try another service.

Extension thing can be handled. Which phone company?

It could well be the company blocks these calls or that the phone is not set up correctly.

Better still, maybe ebay was not going to phone you? What were you doing exactly?

I set up an account with my1voice. its a local number with an extension set to forward to my cell phone. we tried calling the number on my wife's phone, and it forwarded fine. I put the number and extension into ebays verification and hit call now. Waited 5 minutes, and nothing happened. Not sure whats up, any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Log in your my1voice account. From the "System Settings" menu on the left-hand side, click "Phone Numbers". Under "My Phone Numbers", Change the "Type" value from Auto Attendant to Extension. After you change that value, the call should go through directly.

Make a test phone call from another phone, you will see the call goes through without a need of punching any extension. It works like a direct phone line.

Go back to your eBay, when you get to the phone verification part, delete out that extension number, then click 'Call Now'.

It fails sometimes, but not always. When that happens, try again after 2 mins. If it keeps failing for 2 or 3 times, log out of your eBay account, close all the web browsers, then reopen the browser, log back in and try the call again.

Sometimes it takes me about 2 or 3 times to go through. Hope this helps.

I followed the advice listed above, and it worked great. Listed my first item in almost a month with an 8 day old account. Not a high risk item, so no worries. Both ebay a paypal are verified. Thanks again for the help.

does anyone now if this service is suitable to confirm location on Paypal. I have an account I'd like to get off limitation, and I need a "land line" to do that. Would my1voice work? Thanks for any help.

my1voice is only for USA ?

blue moon's advice is still working. I tried it again today on my1voice and it works like a charm.

Does it work for UK or just USA?

I have 3 numbers registered with my1voice...how do u delete a number if you no longer need it? It seems they don't have that option on their site...

You have to call my1voice to have a phone # deleted. Here is the phone # 1-866-358-6300

Could someone who knows PM me, and let me know if my1voice is good to satisfy the confirm location requirement on a limited paypal? I'm fine on ebay, but I cant figure out what to use as a "landline" to get off limitation =(
