Got a bit of a surprise for you, tim. You might have to spend money to make your ebay accounts. It will not be too painful. Once you get selling, you'll get your money back. ;)
free account account, free phone  |

I have used the softphone for ages, no problems, always works with ebay.
However today when they say "this is ebay calling press 1" the touch pad does not work and therefore you cannot verify.
Anyone else found this?
any fixes? |
| captainjack1980 | 01-05-2010 11:17 AM | Have you tried again? I get this with calls forwarded to my mobiles - the tone on one of the keys doesn't register with Ebay (I can't rember if it is 1 or 0). So I try again to get a different number to press.

| novastar | 01-07-2010 11:51 PM | Sorry, can someone briefly explain how tpad works? it seems pretty good |
| oompaloompa | 01-08-2010 02:18 PM | you download software of that company and you get a phone on your pc as a icon with you click with mouse to dial etc, |
How to make Calls with Tpad Tpad is simply a VoIP Provider, we specialise in low cost call around the world with many international rates just 1 pence per minute (no connection charges and we bill per second)
How to make calls with Tpad:
1. Create a Free Tpad Account.
2. You will then receive your Tpad VoIP / SIP Details including your very own Internet Telephone Number. e.g. 1126789
3. Enter your account details into any VoIP Device (Softphone / IP Phone / ATA / WiFi Mobile or any Mobile using the Free Nimbuzz or Fring Software)
4. You can then dial any landline / mobile in the World.
5. Get your friends to join Tpad for Free and then you can ring each others Internet Telephone Number (SIP) for Free no matter where they are in the World.
Send me a PM with your Tpad Number (7 digit Telephone Number) and i will give all users of this forum some free test credit to make your first VoIP Call.

| oompaloompa | 01-09-2010 10:05 AM | ^^^ok tpad, but I dont get what your service does for us, do you have geographic landline style numbers as that what is required by many ebay sites now..
you say one gets very own tpad number e.g. 1126789 - we cant use this... |
| successsor | 01-10-2010 01:19 AM | is it mean i can use it to verified my us ebay account even i now @ overseas? how about the phone number? it will change everytime we use it? |
Sometimes calls diverted to a landline do not always work with the touchphone. tollfreeforwarding is an example. When the call goes to your landline the buttons do not work.
You can try holding up a mobile on speakerphone to the phone and press the button and this should work.
But we should all be aware that they can disable this feature. I found this out with voipfone but I managed to get it re-enabled by calling them and switching the "carrier" |
Tpad, do you offer Geographic telephone numbers for UK?
Just to follow on from Oompa's post. Thats what we need.
7 Digits is no use to us at all.
Like London 0207 *******
Nottingham 0115********
etc etc |
Hi,
Apologies, i understand now.
We will be offering these type of DID Numbers in the next 3 - 4 weeks. |
| oompaloompa | 01-11-2010 08:43 AM | cool, update us.... |
Yeah that would be great especially if you can offer Geographic numbers close tho the same digits as where we are registering our accounts. |
| revenge | 01-24-2010 11:11 PM | They work just like skype. |
| stickmade | 09-17-2010 04:45 PM | I have 8 different voip phone numbers. 4 are with sipgate and the other 4 are with coms
I need a piece of voip software that will take up 10 numbers & keep the full 10 active, so that if ebay call, ill be able to receive the call
Is the any of the above software capable of doing this, as some of the software im currently using will not keep all my numbers active, and this is no good to me, thanks people :-) |

If you need that many numbers running at once you may need some form of switchboard application. But the ones I have seen you have to be able to build them yourself or be willing to pay for them. Just a google search brought them up.
Xlite was the only one that I was looking at that had more than one number but I have not looked at that many, as the three numbers on Xlite will do for now, and I am not sure if it adds more as you add them as I have not tried. |
| danceforfreedom | 10-13-2010 03:02 PM | Ninjalite is cool, it uses touchtone which sipgate supports, X-lite doesnt! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:41 AM. | |
