Need help with this phone verification

Hi guys I need a hand with an automated phone verification system; I've tried 2 different number, one of these is Google Voice but the site kepps telling me:"The number you entered cannot be accepted because is not a valid number, please try again with a different phone number".

Guys can u tell me some FREE US phone number that ACTUALLY WORKS with these automated phone verification systems (not only Ebay or PP)?

GOOGLE VOICE WILL NOT WORK. No such thing as FREE phone number, least I ever paid was 1.5 usd and that was literally a "HOOK UP" that was insane. Now I'm stuck paying around 5 usd per number.
