2.) try these in the meantime:
a.) Ring Central (dot com)
b.) Free Digits (dot com)
c.) Aim Phone LIne--14.95/mo,-but you pick phone number by area/city-very reliable...

Even after numerous posts regarding GrandCentral is NO GOOD for Ebay...

Why are people still asking for invites?
