Default Anyone else getting multiple calls per day from ebay?

Over the last several days I have received multiple calls from ebay on several accounts.

All automated with a message from ebay.

Anyone else getting multiple calls like this?

Something very suspicious about the calls all of sudden.

What did they say in the calls? Anything serious? Its strange that they keep calling you like that without permission.I would too be suspicious. The only calls i ever got off them were to verify my number.

Several different types of messages.

The last one asked me if I was aware of the special pricing on listings coming up.

Very weird.

I got them today also.

Cold calls on eBay pricing? Maybe a new scam? Can you confirm it was eBay?

Log into your eBay account.
Go to the Account tab.
Go down the list till you see the section called "Communication Preferences"
Open Communication Preferences
Go to the very bottom of the list and you will see: Promotions and Surveys
Inside of Promotions and Surveys is where you check to have eBay NOT call you.
I do this EVERY TIME I make a new eBay account.

As a default it is set so that eBay CAN call you.

I set up a new account yesterday. I popped open a new Tracfone. Whoever had the number before me has a LOT of collection accounts. Maybe 20 calls in a day. So, I ignored them. Then the account got suspended. I started googling the numbers that called and one was for eBay.

I believe the account would NOT have been suspended if I answered their call. But after explaining to 4 bill collectors that I just got the phone, and that my name is NOT Richard Johnson, I was DONE for the day.

Dude , i hear ya. i had one dude who kept calling but never ask for anybody which was very weird and sometimes dont say anything. so, i finally changed my number but then, i got even more weird numbers calling asking for someone else. and it sucks to pay to change to have a new number but then u still get unknown numbers. so, i figured if i dont have their numbers, they probably some strangers. and if they are biz, im sure they will leave a msg. i feel ya mr. something...JOHNSON. LOL

What it is, is ebay is desperate for sales they wanna call you to get you to buy stuff so that when you do paypal can limit the sellers account you bought from so the seller can refund your money telling you they can't ship the item because paypal limited their account, who else could have thought of of such an amazing business plan LOL...

Why have we NOT put together a list of phone numbers that are ebay/paypal so we know when we get calls from a phone, we know what numbers to look out for!

Just a suggestion...

Sorry I have been offline for a while.

Yes, it is ebay.

Just today they called me about a recent case I filed on something I bought telling me that I have not signed into this account and dealt with this case.

They never have been trying to sell me something but always seems to have a question.

Still getting the calls for some reason and I do not have a single thing listed on that account right now and have not since I have been ill.

Maybe they are checking to see if the phone still works?

Can anyone else verify those area codes? Paypal is from Omaha which is 402...and that's where I always get calls from. I have no idea about ebay.
