Not really sure if this site has been mentioned before but I've used Oncetel - provides free, anonymous and temporary phone numbers for inbound calls a few times now and has worked perfect.

Just type in your real phone number and they instantly generate a temporary number which works fine for eBay verification. Also its free

mmm this looks very interesting. i have just used it, and it works. i also signed back up right away (without cancelling the number) and it gave me a whole new number again. this is now the end to sim cards for me great find

its ony a temp number and expires after 1 week, anyway to make it permanent?

You can extend the expiry date of the number by a week by phoning the number and going through the automated prcocess. It may get a bit tedious keep doing it every week but it's free

Very handy find,thanks for sharing, another good way is to post a free ad on freeads.co.uk and it gives you a number which can be used for ebay verificatio,n forwarded to a number of your choice and it lasts for a month
