I went to activate my 7th eBay account tonight. My first 6 I used google voice. Got a number and went to verify with eBay. No call coming through. I took my landline and called my google voice number and some lady answered. They gave men A number in use. Anyone ever have this.
Anyone every tried change a google voice number? I want to keep the same google/ gmail account.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I wonder if you took down the wrong google voice number? I have not heard of this glitch of being given a number already in use...perhaps others will contribute their experience.

I quadruple checked it and had another set of eyes look at it.
How many numbers can you have forwarded to one number?
I run my stealth accounts very conservatively. To much hassle with eBay selling limits, bank accounts, prepaid cards to start over and over again. What I personally recommend for new accounts is to buy a Tracfone you usually get like 60 days and 20 minutes. I use that to initially verify the phone for selling on eBay. I do usually buy one card once my 60 days run out. So I get 90 days like 60 minutes. Once that expires I am usually 5 months in. Have 50-70 selling feedback. That is when I make the switch over to goggle voice. I know some people do it right away. For me it is too much effort to get booted having virtual phone when starting up. So I go with the TracFone until I am then established then switch over. I am yet to have any problems. When you are running new accounts on eBay you have to do everything you can to prove your a trustworthy seller and keep everything in good standing.

I am in Northern California. Wall-mart is easy, Safeway, CVS, Rite Aid and I have purchased from Office Depot before. Honestly even seven eleven sells the tracfone cards here. Not sure where you are from but here just about any medium sized retailer or bigger has them for sale. You can often get the basic phone for $10 + any tax with 60 days and 20 minutes. It is enough to do the eBay/paypal verify. I usually buy the $19.99 60 min 90 day cards to extend them for stealth. Then after the account is established based on how many phones I have I might do a Google voice call forward to save money.
